This is very common in Arab culture to destroy graves. They have exported their hate religion to the subcontinent & now Taliban are doing the same thing in Pakistan. Btw, Saudis have destroyed prophet’s companions graves to build huge hotels on them.

Unless a big miracle takes place Saudi Arabia will keep destroying Muslim countries. Iran will keep getting cornered with this fantasy “Ummah” approach. US and others will keep toying in the region while taking advantage of the great prize resources that comes with it. This whiles even the educated Muslims who care yet refuse to take their sectarian glasses off and refuse to call a killer, a killer if he belongs to their “sect”.

Pictures of the desecrated and emptied grave allegedly in a mosque north of Damascus were posted on the facebook page for the Adra unit of the Free Syrian Army. The mosque is located in the town of Adra, which the page alleges is controlled by the Free Syrian Army.

One of the pictures showed the tomb broken into, and another showed an apparently empty grave.

I should've said Wahhabi Arab culture. Its followers of al-Wahhab who are giving bad name to Islam and Muslims. As for grave worshiping, there is difference between destroying history/heritage that belongs to entire humanity vs people praying to dead people and asking for worldly favors.

That is so true. People destroying graves and mosques of earlier Islamic era are not just showing animosity against Islam but against world history as well.
What they do is insane, but even more insanity is when supposedly 'sane' people try to justify this insanity.

Baqi is gone. Makkah is gone.If the relics of earlier Islamic history continue to be destroyed at the hands of Wahhabi Saudis then after a thousand year or so, people will doubt even the existence of Prophet of Islam.

Saudi occupation has destroyed Islam more than any Zionist would ever do.

I don't understand why Iranian mullahs are so naive in their self-righteousness that they don't realize who is their mortal enemy. It is not Zionists but Saudi Wahhabis. I really hope Iranian regimes goes away so that the spread of Wahhabism my be stopped in the world. Their naive policies have given Wahhabism a great boost.

Agreed. It's depressing to hear that so many heritage sites have been destroyed. Even if you don't follow Islam the Prophet was a man who has influenced a great number of humans. It would be interesting to see where/how he lived and to visit those places.

Is this al-nusra that is part of FSA? I think that the conflict has entered into a sectarian dimension with Hezbollah + iran funding Syria while Saudis, qataris are funding the rebels. A recipe made for disaster only because our so-called "muslim leaders" have a phobia of letting go of power. Was it so hard for assad to do a transition and have true democratic elections if Syria was indeed secular (minority rights would be protected) or was it all a sham in the 1st place?
