Guerilla war is fought when some militants attck on Army and then escape .Its not guerilla war to blast poor girl schools by planting bomb at night or kill some poor civil servant.

I'd also like for anyone who has relatives/friends or personal recent experience in NWFP or bordering areas to talk about what they have seen? Is this picture agreeing with ground reality and how far-spread is the Taliban control?
^ you will not get the ground realities from one or two accounts. I have a friend who recently flew in from Kabul and he says Taliban have no control over Kabul. Obviously that's his view, he has not stepped outside of Kabul so how can he say Taliban have no control.. it all depends on the person.

While I don't agree with the Taliban as it is a terrorist organization, but I would say education for women should be limited to Holy Quran. Even in the most developed of all states, Punjab, religious scholars would tell you it is not right to get women educated and working. Women are supposed to stay indoors and under Burqa- that gives the beauty to the womanhood.

You didn't answer my questions in previous thread and yet again you post with your sick mentality. Why don't you people go back to caves, why bother to come to settled civilized areas and talk about your sick ideologies which is making alot of people sick.

I am not sick brorther but I am sorry if my Islamic take on things sickens you. I am not from cave, I am a good-hearted Pakistani and like other Pakistanis, I also want to ultimately settle down in Canada- where muslims have achieved a lot and even one of provinces of Canada has a muslim Pakistani governer- FYI. If Punjab was not developed why the Punjabis are 6+ ft tall and muscular unlike other Pakistanis and most of the big industries are in cities like Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad which sell billions of $$ of stuff to the world? I haven't visited the list of cities but maybe you have not come to Pakistan for ages and seen development recently- just my belief. Bhai Jaan i am from Faisalabad, business is in Faisalabad. I see all the development taken place under the rule of President Pervaiz Musharraf, i was in Pakistan few months ago.

Today 8 people brutally killed in Swat with thier heads chooped off. They were all common people neither any connections to security forces nor to ANP, poltical rulers of NWFP.
Its seems that now Talibans of swats are using the weapon of terror in swat by chooping off heads of even common so that no one can stand in thier way. ANP and policemen are also giving advertisements in local newspaper to resign from police or ANP.
I dont think it has anything to do with islam, they just want some small land piece to have thier safe heaven where government cannot ask them about thier deeds.
But these things are happening only in small part of Swat and few araes of Tribal belt, otherwise whole NWFP is relatively far away from such extremism. Chechans,Uzbeks and Tajiks alongwith Talibans are doing all this receiving funds from RAW etc.
Taliban supporter’s logic is simple - praise them when they do things in far away land, but blame it on mysterious RAW funded “fake Taliban” when their actions embarass you. It’s like when a guy eats your food, he is HERO and when he craps in your lawn he is VILLAIN.

Kohat was already “active” and now they are just a hop skip and jump away into Punjab. Most of the hardline types within the Taliban were already known to be the “Punjabi Taliban” and they have a small but strong base in several key towns because of the strong ties between the Taliban and the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi/SSP people.
Think about it, from FATA, they took over Swat and now they are moving south to Hangu and tomorrow Dera Ismail Khan will be ready with its own local Talibs. Peshawar is anyway all but gone to the dogs.

There was a time i thought that too but not any more.
Look at Afghanistan , the soviets left but what remained behind was plenty of warlords and plenty of young men who had no skill except to fire AK47s.
Even if Nato and US leave, even if Pak army leaves the FATA and swat, there will remain these groups who will not relinquish their new found power. They will be the defacto rulers of these areas. It will remain a constant trouble for Pakistan.

If TTP is funded by RAW, then why did a Corps Commander call a press conference on December 1 to say that Baitullah and Fazlullah are “Pakistani patriots” and would fight side by side with Pak Army against India?

Billion million dollar question is , why this not happened before 9/11 in swat or bajaur ? just because US madly attacked Al-Qaeda **without seizing Pakistan borders **so all Al-Qaeda and Uzbeks,tajiks,chechans came into Pakistan and now creating mess.
