We have a lot of cyberjihadis and armchair strategists who have no problem with Pakistan using the Taliban and assorted jihadi elements as long as our "strategic goals" are served. When they see videos like this, they have a standard excuse - "We should not support these "bad" Taliban, just the "good" Taliban" or claim that these guys are CIA stooges.
The reality is that when you use jihadi elements for force projection, then they will demand their pound of flesh. The armchair generals who support the Taliban will have to face the day when their mothers and sisters are threatened with acid or wear the shuttlecock and when they get their throats slit for daring to get a haircut or playing music.

It's nothing new, it's been happening for long time. You just been shocked because it's the daily news eh. Nobody is emotional, you're the one emotional, you're the one who wants American bombers to bomb the country into pieaces.. You really think your heros; the americans want peace for Pakistan? they have their own interests, and sadly, the TALIBAN are serving their interests really well. Howmuch area of Pakistan is under such conditions ? no even 1% except Swat and few area of Bajaur
Do people of Swat are with these people, answer is big NO, they telephoned to media and put up emails to them inviting Army to safeguard them
Some of them are Uzbeks and Tajiks , not even Pakistani
Most importantly the will of people of Pakistan specially in NWFP in 2008 elections, all religious parties were shown boots and liberals like ANP and PPPP were chosen even in Swat and Bajaur and tribal area so its easily depict , 99.99% of Pakistanis dont tolerate such extremism :)
Billion million dollar question is , why this not happened before 9/11 in swat or bajaur ? just because US madly attacked Al-Qaeda without seizing Pakistan borders so all Al-Qaeda and Uzbeks,tajiks,chechans came into Pakistan and now creating mess.
Solution
Us should leave Afghanistan,have fair elections in Afghanistan , let Afghanis choose who they want , all these culprits will auto vanish from the scene as people of Afghanistan dont support these people but they are not supporters of NATO and US also who are OPPRESSORS.

Actually people in US are only getting what NYT, WP,WSJ,FOX covers and reports but ground realties are miles away from what they report.

Root cause? Haha, don't joke with me. I'd love to know the root cause of blowing up girls schools, shooting/beheading random people in public, conducting suicide bombings and how it relates to getting abck at the US by killing and destroying one's own. And when was Afghanistan the land of ISI sponsored Pakistani taliban from Swat? When did this miracle happen?

Guerilla war is fought when some militants attck on Army and then escape .Its not guerilla war to blast poor girl schools by planting bomb at night or kill some poor civil servant.
