The other day, I actually had my air conditioner on because it was 85 degrees inside my room. This was the first warm day of the year so far. I’m not a garmi/summertime person at all. I’v enever been to Pakistan in the summer, I always go in teh winter, school be damned , so while i’m very excited to go to Pakistan, i’m still kinda iffy…I really wanna do ALOT of shopping that I really missed out on last year I went but I’m just nervous abt the heat there..
Just keep drinking water and take a bottle with you when ever you are out.
Try not to go out in the middle of the day, between 12pm-2pm as that's when the sun is highest in the sky and it feels hottest.
Summertime is brutal in Pakistan, especially in Punjab/Lahore, but makes you really think of all the people who do live there and survive it :( It's gonna be hard but you'll live thru it insha'allah.
-drink plenty of fluids
-take plenty of showers
-drive around in a car equipped with AC :P
-obviously wherever ur staying, the room must have AC
-don't forget the insect repellent for the mosquitos
-do not forget ur sunscreen
-shop in the late afternoon/early evenings
I have visited Pakistan a few times in the summer and have mainly stayed in Sindh. The beauty of the southern Pakistan is that eventhough it's hot, in the late afternoon/early evening, there's a breeze and weather becomes very very tolerable.
Ahhh this time I’m giong with in laws, my MIL kinda likes shopping, unlike my relatives and mom who hate it and are ready to go home at 2 PM!..so this itme wil be diff I hope
for all those people who keep on throwing in 'drink lots of water'... make sure ur anatomy can withhold all that water too... last time i ws in pak (arnd 5 yrs ago) there ws absolutely no concept of public (hygenic) bathrooms... with all due respect.. if u had to take a leak, u really had to wait until u were home! hopefully things are better now, but id advice you to still ask around on that.. or else be easy on the water.. g'luck n hav funn!!
do go when it is a little cooler there.
it will be humbling if u went now.
as it must be very hot climate there.
yet, apni mati, apna waten apna heye.
u can drink lemonade, and ice cold water.
stay in tree shades.
walk with mosquito repellants on skin.
and think cold, when feeling unbearable hot.
always sit near a padestal fan or have a 'jute pakhi' in ur purse.
rains are always better but to really avoid getting passed out due to heat, early sept is better.

Yeah, but it's way better than being dehydrated. I've gotten dehydrated in Pakistan twice from not drinking enough water, first time I had to go to hospital and 2nd time I had to have an injection.
keep yurself busy. dont sit around feeling hot or letting the heat get t you.
where abouts are you going? if ts lahre then when i went last year and arriving at 1am at night - i found it very sufocating and like i was in a tandoor. if your from around multan then you wil be roasted alive.
if your from karachi or islamabad then your ok. i wouldlove to go in summer but thats only because i spend most of my time away from home and in cooler areas.
