Re: Surviving Pakistan
Summer in Pakistan is hot, but the sun is not so strong as here in Canada/USA.
Do the shopping in the morning or evening forget about afternoon. unless you're in AC car and into to mall.
Re: Surviving Pakistan
My fiance a Pakistan Citizen, never left the country before cannot take the heat there - now he is seriously ill, we think heat stroke. I would really suggest you not go there....
Re: Surviving Pakistan
yea, keep drinking water!! :halo: there aren’t public bathrooms there, and if luckly you find one, it’s not usable…
p.s. Bathrooms and kitchens would be my biggest problem for survival in Pakistan.
Re: Surviving Pakistan

Re: Surviving Pakistan
Sarah, which city are u going too?
Well u want to hear my opinion, we lived in the states as i was young and went back to pakistan.
I dont remember it being so hot that ppl get seriously ill, but we stayed indoors during the hot months
especially the midday / afternoon sun.
There are good thing about the summer pak to, u get to eat yummy mangoos, drink lots of lasi
and well as u drink a lot and maybe eat less due to the heat, I think it can actually help to lose some
weight. Oh the ppl sleep during the day, which in my opinion is boring, but u can then enjoy the evenings
nights even more. Beware of the mosquitos! I had about hundred red spots the next day, the last time we
went to pak during late summer. I think u will enjoy it as it will be a different experience too.

I'll be in Lahore for about two weeks and then Islamabad for the next two. My nand is gettng married and the valima is in Islamabad. I always went during the winters, last time I wetn in summer was in 2000. I think I will definitely enjoy it since this time I'll be iwth my husband and in-laws rather than my mom and relatives (they dont like to go out or enjoy anything!!!!)
Re: Surviving Pakistan
Right now in Islamabad, it is raining during the nights and sunny during the day and even during the really hot weather, they have the occasional rain.
