I’m planning to do a surprise party for my hubby. :smiley:

How should I decorate the house and what should I cook??
I need help in garnishing also…

I just know how to make a rose with a tomato :frowning:

And for the house decoration, I am a big lover of candles and Rose petals :wub:
Don’t know if you watch hindi serials, I just looove some of their deco with candels floating on water.

I think for decorating the home , I too am a big fan of candles ... buy the tealight candles .. they are cheaper and a better option , you wont have wax dropping all over the home !

Fresh Flower Bouquets are the second best option ... Do you have a stair case? put a candle each on each step ... it just creates such a romantic atmosphere ...

Tell me more about the room that you particularly want to decorate? then we will discuss the details accordingly... also I have the same question as MIA .. are many people invited or just you two?

On a more serious note, for the colour scheme I just love the purple and red combo. It’s soooo romantic :wub:
For the food : his favorite dish. Or something you n your hubby like.
The salad’s deco with lots of salad roses (carrots-tomato-cumcumber,…)
And don’t forget Nothing too fancy and nothing too simple :slight_smile:

Have you bought him a gift ?
I read somewhere, a hubby gifted his wife a certificate. It might sound crazy but it was written ‘Best Wife Certificate’ or something like that =))
Just loooved this idea.

And as CB said, wich room you want to decorate ? And are you inviting lots of ppl or just your hubby n you ?

What should I do with the flowers? Cut them, and put some with the candles, and put the rest in a vase…? :hmmm:

I wanted to decorate the living room, the hallway which leads to our bedroom, and our bedroom itself!! Would that be tooo much??!! :konfused:

I heard if you put lemon juice on the salad and leave it overnight, it doesn’t go bad? Did anyone try?

TJP , yes make the roses one day before … and then sprinkle lemon juice on them or some herbs … and dont forget to cover the bowl with the cling film .. it will retain the freshness of the salad …

Secondly I think its a brilliant idea , that you want to decorate the hallway, living room and finally the Bedroom … Make bedroom the most decorative , stairs lesser and Living room just a few tidbits .. so that when he enters the living room , maybe he finds a bouquet or a few flowers amidst a few candles …

Then he enters the hall way and finds it decorated with some more flowers and candles …
And then when he enters the bedroom he gets stunned completely :cb: I will think of some ideas for your bedroom decoration .. if your stairs are part of the hallway , then just decorate the first few steps and the last few steps … put a tealight candle and if you have colored potpourri just round some potpourri around the candle … I think that should do the trick .. save the flowers for the bedroom :@:

For the bedroom surprise , one thing you can do is , create a little message on slides in powerpoint , then using the movie maker programme (its in most computers ) put a fav song in the background and it will be like a five minute movie with your pictures and a message to him … leave that laptop on amidst the flowers and the candles in the bedroom .. I tell you , he will be stunned to the max :lifey:

I started working on the powerpoint slides already!! :cb:

The salad, will be done the night before with the cupcakes!!
I will be making 4 different kinds of cupy cakes! :yummy: (I just hope they turn out good! )

I was thinking of taking some nice fabric, and tying it around the sides of my bed and going up towards the ceiling.

And make a heart on the bed like this:
