Ma’shaAllah, who says Pakistan is a poor country? :hmmm: … All we need to know is that the only business which is thriving in Pakistan is politics.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

Nothing wrong with that unless someone can prove that they have ill-gotten wealth. Btw, most members of the US Congress are millionaire, too, with median net worth of $2.63 million.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

The 'dont own' syndrome is a popular one for our politicians, specially PPP, where most of the kickbacks, purchases and sales are done in the names of 3rd parties, front companies opened up for this very purpose.

Its utterly disgraceful how a person like Rehman Malik, and others, can simply declare 'no change' in financial status without even thinking. Are they implying that they dont even draw salaries from their posts as senators?

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

kuttay ki dum ko 100 saal naali main rakho... result = 'no change'.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

well i have seen teh report on this issue on GEO,the thing is rehm malik has a plot in DHA wich sources told was abt 6 lakhs of worth......i mean means dont u all think that a plot in DHA is jus worth 6 lakhs,,...ii wonder if they have given teh rite amount not teh corrupted ones...

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

^ It's not a plot, it's a house. You cannot buy a hut these days for 6 lacs.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

You are right Shamraz. Nothing wrong with a wealth pile put together by hard work. But knowing our politicians, I find it extremely hard to believe that these statistics are fruits of mere hard work.

One such contradiction could be seen in Rahman Malik's case. A plot in Defence Karachi worth Rs600,000? Can anyone digest it? We don't have proof, but we have common sense.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

There is nothing wrong with the list, actually in Faisalabad right now every other 1 to 2 kanal home is worth over 25 to 50 million. People of Pakistan were never poor, because we never pay taxes. Return on investments in Pakistan is astonishing 33% a year average from textile to live stock sectors.

Some pre-feasibility studies by government dept:
SMEDA - Pre-feasibility Studies

Nothing wrong with the rich senators if they can provide the source. But who’s money is white in Pak? Not mine at least and i am just an average person.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

And a hose in Islamabad can be from 100 to 400 million
House in Lahore are near same price ,every one who house (Villa) in Dubai having minimum worth 2 m , You can multiply it to 25 for Pak Rs .

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

some sectors only. average 1 kanal home price in Islamabad F-8 sector is crossing over 100 million.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

It looks better, If they give their Previous wealth (before coming in power) Vs today’s wealth :cobra:

BTW they ve served the nation and they really deserve for this :sunnyboy:

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

Served the nation? Or served themselves? But one who strives gets it. These people gave up their lives just for this cause, to acquire wealth by hook or crook. So they are now people worth mentioning although in a negative manner. I don't blame them for having so much wealth. Nobody is a saint, it only that others did not get the chance at it.

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

You made a post without mentioning IK? How come?

Re: Super rich senators of the poor nation

Before I comment to your above post, can you tell me from where this huge amount is coming for even luxurious travel of Imran Khan? Again don’t throw stones on to others while living in a glass house. I hope this amount is not coming from chanda he collects for his hospital. Do some research before you initiate anti-Government, anti-PPP rhetoric.

Imran uses chartered plane to travel abroad - Report ~ ‘X’ Reports

**09-02-2012
Lahore: According to Nawaiwaqat, Imran Khan Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is using Chartered Plane to travel abroad. Imran khan is spending Millions of rupees as hourly charge for plane.
