Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
well i use a moisturizer which has a sunscreen in it already! i use aveeno's spf 15 brightening moisturizer.. ive normal to dry skin so i cant function w/o a moisturizer.. in the past ive also used clinique's superdefense.. but that's heavier on the pocket than aveeno.. this one works just as good.. atleast i dont hav any complains!
if uve oily skin then im sure ud want an oil-free sunscreen.. try aveeno's oil free spray sunblock.. it also comes in higher spf like 45 n stuff.. walk to a shoppers drug mart and ask the cosmetician, she'll help u!
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
as for tanning... just wear a hat! it isnt that bad really :) plus... it goes away anyways in the winter!! hope u hav a good summer here!
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
no, tan never goes away..atleast not from my face and arms...on my feet, i get striped marks from the sandals and it a nice pattern :D but my face and arms are still dark form last summer. and i get sunburns easily..i always wear a cap, but the sunscreens are so oily and they stink too. anyways how do u take off a tan?
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
This year I'm trying the Aveeno sun block for face. It's something like spf 50 so I'm hoping that I won't be too affected by the sun.
And I'm big on hats so this year I'm going to find some really large brimmed ones that will protect my face.
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
hey girlies,
i'm not big on sun block etc and i don't use moisturizer so what happens is that i get these reddish burns on my cheeks, what should i do in that case.
i thought being brown would be ok from sun burn but it doesn't work. and then they hurt like hell and start peeling etc.
any ideas?
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
danial,
That's called a sunburn.
Use the Aveeno stuff....it's the best. I used it for Noor last year and she never got burned. It's also non-greasy so you don' t get that oily feel.

Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
thanx a lot for the replies guys…
do u knw where in canada this is available?
could u tell which one of Aveeno did u use?
if u dun mind cud u tell me what’s this spf 15 or spf 45.. im not familiar with this terminology.. thanx!
Re: sunscreen.. in toronto
well spf stands for sun protection factor if im not wrong... a higher spf (like 45-60) provides a wider range of uv protection.. if u get sun burnt/tanned easily u should opt for a higher spf. just make sure it works for ur skin type.. like if uve oily skin, get the ones meant for oily skin, otherwise ull feel really greasy on the face and it'll just create more problems!
generally i think ure advised to use a spf of a minimum 30.. if we go out for picnics or if im goin away on a holiday i just wear a higher spf on top of the 15!
