Re: sunni's praying in a shia mosque..

Read a similar fatwa elsewhere, but sort of asked the question for confirmation. Here's what the scholar from Islamtoday.com has to say:

Question:

Assalamo alaykum, Is it okay for Sunni Muslims to offer salah in jamah behind a Shia, or at a Shia mosque? WasSalaam, Sadiyah

The Answer:

By Sheikh `Abd al-Wahhâb al-Turayrî

Entering Paradise is an issue of the Unseen. We cannot delve into such matters. All we can say that the people on the Sunnah are on the truth while what the Shi`ah are following contains a mixture of truth and falsehood. Among their false claims is their belief in the infallibility of their imams, their derogation of the Companions, and their seeking refuge from the deceased, which are unlawful acts. We ask Allah to bring them to pure guidance.

We cannot say that all Shîah are unbelievers. On the other hand, there are some sects of the Shîah who innovated some claims that are tantamount to disbelief. Whoever believes such chaims are unbelievers whether they belong to the Shîah or not. For example, anyone who accuses the Companions of hypocrisy while the Qur’ân told us they are believers and Allah is pleased with them is an unbeliever. Allah says: “Allah’s good pleasure was on the believers when they swore fealty to thee under the tree”. Whoever slandersÂ’ishah is, in fact, an unbeliever and rejects the sacred text, the Qur’ân, and derogates the Prophecy. Those who say that the Qur’ân has been corrupted is indeed rejecting Islam.

There are many other deviant acts and beliefs associated with the different Shîah sects that, however, do not constitute unbelief, so no one can claim that the adherents of all the various Shîah sects are unbelievers.

We cannot pray behind someone among them whose unbelief has become clear to us.

May Allah guide you.
