We all have discussed on the differences of opinions and thoughts and i think that debate is never ending lets start a debate on the brothership of all muslims and lets see if this debate can end and end up good.

Well there are differences between the two, no doubt about that, but if both Shias and Sunnies overolook those differences, then they can live peacefully otherwise the very never ending debate will take place every now and then. The key word is, overook.

i think you are wrong, but the thing is in these 1400 years people have researched and developed so many things for thier defence that its very hard to argue any one now. But the prophet said one thing thats what i think we should realize now
he said
When sahaba's has asked him " o Prophet (PBUH) what would be the number of muslims near the day of qayamat" so he replied muslims would be like the foam on the water of the sea there would be so many muslims that you can hear azaan from every house. Just hold on to the biggest sect of the muslims and you will be fine".
So my brother, if in 1400 years the shias or wahabis didnt grown in number more than 15 % or less then i think the religion that Prophet Mohammad PBUH has brought for this world is not so weak. we should realize this. Even today people put allegations on a personality like Abdul Satar Eidhi , when he is doing so much for the people . So what do you expect from them they cant put alegations on the people 1400 years ago who no body have seen. Just pray to God that he will lead us to the right path and put love in our heats for the prophet his family and all the muslim ummah.

Well if we can get along with christians! u know if we dont walk up to christains and say hey why do u belive Jesus is the son of God for the purposes of peace, then why not this!

While it is true that there are differences b/t shia's and sunni's that is not specific to Islam, even the more smaller religions, like Judaism, which has a fairly small following compared to Islam, or even Buddhism, or daoism/ taoism, they all have sects!
every religion has sects, and so does Islam! and yes there are differences, and yes there have been occasional wars, and strifes! but this bloodbath in Iraq is hardly a consequence of those religious difference!
TEHRE WOULD BE NO BLOOD BATHS IN IRAQ WERE IT NOT FOR THE FACT THAT THE DIFFERENCES B/T THE TWO SECTS IS BEING PROPAGATED!

Every US newspaper is now tlaking about eh differences b/t Shia's and Sunnis! just like they all were talking about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq! before the Iraq war, almost every single member of congress got up and supported the attacks on Iraq!!!
The american public overwhelmingly supported the war in Iraq and believed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq!!!
ITS CALLED PROPAGANDA! and the current US regime is damned good at it!
So we better be wise and better recognize that we need to be focusing on our similarities promoting shia sunni harmony!

We will not eithe one of us survive unless we recognize the amount of money energy that is being spent on creating differences b/t shia and sunni! and it is specifically geared towards shia and sunni!
So whenever u hear shia sunni diologue that crates differences! STOP IT! do whatever u can to talk about hte money being spent to make this happen b/c otherwise its hate that is being purposefully spread to make us hate each other and continue killing each other while our resources are stolen from under our shoes!

I know that the Irani revolution was a great threat, in response to which investments were made, money was spent to create madrasas that were millitant and not only were they anti-russian but they were also very specifically (and some woudl say how iranically) anti-shia! the whole idea being the Irani revolution needed to be cubed it needed to stay w/in the Irani borders! if it spread to saudi or kuwait or iraq or pakistan that would mean our ppl would be demanding that we not be abused or oppressed! and that would mean we would be our own masters - which would be bad for bussiness for huge multinational corporations from the US! therefore, the Irani revolution needed to be stopped. and since Iran is shia - those differences - i.e. shia sunni differences came in very handy!
so u have to be careful with the facts u throw around! presently lots of money is being spent on Anti-Iran propaganda! u barely hear this kinda news.
In any event, there is a lot on Iran propaganda...I think condi rice took out i dont know if it is billions or millions to create anti-iran propaganda!

Once I heard in a talk by a Shaykh that not all leaders were corrupt before they became leaders, this story he told: some man was going to become a leader and so he said farewell to the Quran..... "you and me will go different directions now.." something to that effect.

I dont know from where the discussion of countries came in between the topic of brotherhood between Shias and Sunnies. Each and every country (i.e the rulers) is mindful of the threats and weaknesses hence it will do whatever benefits the country be it a Muslim state or whatever. Pakistan gave a pessage to USA to launch attack on Afghanistan, where Muslims are being killed still today. Most of the Arab countries have ties with Isreal. During Lebanon-Israel war, fellow Arab countries initially were condemning Hizbullah but when they realized that they were not going to surrender like the past Arab-Israel wars, they immediately changed their stance. Turkey was not allowing Irani planes to travel to Syria (or somewhere) without checking, so that it might not smuggle weapons to Hizbullah. Saudi kings have always been in good ties with USA and have all of their wealth in the banks of USA, USA launched its attack on Iraq from dew neighboring (Muslim) Arab countries, etc etc..
So the point is, dont watch the Shia-Sunni brotherhood from the prespective of "countires" or "rulers", countries will do whatever will benefit them and will keep chaging their policies with the pessage of time.

But soon after that the earthquake stuck iran, and you know they are calling their other shia friends in pakistan , australia england to help raise the charity . Even they themselves are pakistanis..

i would really invite every one to know that we must not indulge ourselves into this wrong way of holding each other suspicious for the way in which we follow Islam.
it is about shadet and about nabooet.
it is really sad that the sheite sunni division that is primarily being promulgated, has become a prize for someone who can easily make a clash of islam within islam.
so we all need to come out of our little arrogant holes and realize that we are believing muslims and musalimahs and must act like them.
Sunnah and Quran has not a single indication that we as sects within the religion are to be purporting hatered against each other.
in fact this is the meat for all those who want to heavily take monstrous advantage of the civil wars in muslim countries, where sunnis and sheites are living together.
the holy bok is the same.
the concept of tawheed is the same.
sunnis do believe in karbala and daughter and her family.
sheites so believe in prophet Mohammed pbuh.
within sunnis, the dates for the eid can be diff
people pray differently
culture and national identity of muslims adds on differences
so we must not blame the sheite sunni identity as much as our inner conscience for being able to recognize the importance of unity and the consequences of disunity
cultural and geo political as well as corrupt fasadi or fitna people ought to have no bearing on mutually understanding muslims.
we must not let any one promote stereotypes against each other, in our respective sect - sunni and sheite.
only then, we can think of our selves as followers of Islam who are humble and have unconditional brother and sister hood among us.
that can set the standard for a non Muslim individual to see us as united people from the same faith.

well i didn’t exactly read all the replies here lekin just what i think…and i’ve said this before.
We believe in Allah (swt) we believe in Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) in being the last prophet. we believe in the Quran, so that makes us all muslim. lifes too short to argue on and on and on esp. with a fellow muslim, debating. In the end werr all muslims (brothers and sisters)
