kindly any one guide me how to prepare suji for 6 months old baby. And which milk do u guys use for ur infants food.

I either used formula or my milk, mostly formula.

in a saucepan, put 1 tsp of butter.
when its sizzling, add 1 tbsp suji (make sure its finely ground and not the course kind)
saute until light golden
add just enough water to cook teh sooji (only takes like 5 mins)
when sooji goes real thick, take off of stove
if you are using premixed formula, just add as is, cold. the coolness of the milk will bring down the hot temperature of the sooji mixture meanig you dont have to wait for it cool down on its own, nor put in a bowl of cold water
if you have powder formula, you still prepare the sooji as is with water.... and then mix up the formula how you make it for the baby's bottle.. and just add to the level of consistency you think the baby can manage
if its breastmilk, again, do like you would with premixed formula...
the end point is... you dont cook formula at all. its a no no. i cant remember, but formula is not meant to be heated above a certain temperature... i forget what it is but i do remember when i was learning to make my son's food, the nurse told me i cant use formula or premixed formula or breastmilk to actually COOK the food in... its always added afterwards....
you can also add pureed fruits in the mixture to add some flavour... apple and pear is yum

yup.... its not as filling.. but at 6 months.. thats not what you are looking for.. like a proper meal...

ok thanx dear. Actually here in pak my cousin are using normal dairy milk in their infant's food but my dr said dont use cows milk till 1 year.

its really demographic based these opinions... where i live, we start them off with litlte amounts by the 8th month... increase until they are a yr old and from then on its only cows milk.
in the us canada, its a no no unitl they are one, none at all before that...
in pakistan, in my own family, kids only know cows milk from 8 months on..
i would play it safe and go with what the dr is saying :)

not really... my son still doesnt have any added sugar in any of his porridges (or actually, any food)... i have always added teeny weeny honey before he turned one and a tsp once he crossed the 1 yr mark... but even that is when i cant be bothred to puree any fruit... 90% of the time, i mix in any pureed fruit... gives it some taste...

ok. But here my doc said give him gher ki salan roti to it means we can give sugar or salt too

ofcourse you can... i give salt to him.. but sugar i find it unnecessary cuz he is getting it from fruits that i mix it in his sooji.. if i add sugar too it wil get too sweet.

interesting... so khawa... by formula you mean the formula milk we make in the bottle rite? since u said it shudnt b cooked.. shud i wait for the sooji thing to cool down before adding the formula milk?

sadii... i shall try to post some more new ones.. just not getting time today cuz i washed my son's comfort toy and the retard wont dry off cuz we dont have a dryer and the sun isnt out... so son refused to take his nap without it and now i am really regretting washing the dumbass dog in the first place!

and no... i dont see why cooking sooji in water will give a stomche ache.. i make it for my son when he HAS a stomach ache.. cut out the milk and just make in water ...
