I have a friend who got about 30 outfits alone for her jahez (I think her inlaws gave her another 15-20) She was a skinny little thing so all her clothes were quite fitted. Then she got pregnant 3 months after the wedding and didn't ever fit into any of those outfits again. She never even wore any of them, I think she must have gotten wear out of 3 of them? And only cos she opened them up, the rest she's gonna give away/chuck.
So moral of the story is...buy extra large.
Moral of the story is don't go crazy making clothes. If you want to have x # of clothes then keep them unstitched. My mother made around 10 heavy/formals when I got married. I thought 3-4 were enough. She never listened. I got pregnant couple months later, barely wore that stuff.
My sister is getting married soon..she has bought 30 Kaam wale jore for like dawats, functions and shadi's waghaira after her wedding,,few of them are heavy and few light,20 are stitched and 10 unsttiched also as she is getting married in summer so she is buying lots and lots of lawn dresses.for wearing them at home after wedding, as she will be wearing lawn everyday at home so ashe said she wants to buy so many of them, let's see how many she will get till wedding :p
Kinzz these days lawn suits are so fancy she could actually wear those to the post wedding dinners etc. I'd be gutted if I spent so much on clothes and then don't even get to wear more than 6-7 of them. I would personally do half stitched and half unstitched ones.
Yes MkD she has bought designer lawns which she will be wearing at home and for dinners waghaira she will be wearing her party dresses because the family she is marrying into thier newly weds DIL get dressed, wear makeup and jewelry everyday for first few weeks of weddings.
