yes…and some folks believe that since only Allah can determine birth and death, that by interfering with this process one is committing “shirk”…the inference is there…

“eternally” is subjective…in the afterlife a single day may be eternal…I’m afraid that I cannot use this term to define whether or not a person can be forgiven.
