A welcoming gift for the Palestinians new PM? Good luck Mahmoud Abbas.
TEL AVIV, Israel, April 29 — A seafront walkway in Israel’s largest city was hit by a massive explosion late Tuesday night in what police said was a terror attack. Rescue workers said at least 15 people were hurt. The attack came just hours after the Palestinian parliament approved a new prime minister and a Cabinet, moves that many hope will help revive the peace process.
As you sow so shall you reap. The Israelis go into Palestinian areas and kill and maim anyone who comes in their way without any regard to life. They should expect the same. Palestinians are meeting Israeli state terrorism by paying them back in the same coin.
Palestinians are meeting Israeli state terrorism by paying them back in the same coin.
A less biased response would be that Palestinians terrorists are trying to disrupt any hope of a peace process. And you have the voracity to degrade Americans for defending their actions?
^ A lil more less biased response would have been if you had omitted the word "terrorist" next to Palestineans. We can go into a lengthy debate who else is the "terrorist".
There can never be peace with deceptive Zionists. The Palestineans have been pushed to the brink, and only these martyr operations will teach Israel a lesson to rid themselves of terrorist and war criminals such as the Sharons and Likud..
Whoever it was that killed these people tonight did so to disrupt the potential break in the peace process. They did it to strike terror in a civilian population. They did it to cost the most innocent lives possible. They did it on the day the Jews remember the Holocaust. If that is not the definition of "terrorist", you tell me. It can be argued whether or not so and so is also a terrorist in a separate thread. The big difference is - I've never seen an American on this board cheer and encourage the body count. Your responses should make you proud.
that's right.. think along the lines of who actually benefits from these suicide bombings..
the Palestinians don't win nothing by killing Jews.. Sharon definitely does.. that keeps him from being forced to come to a table to discuss anything which has "peace" linked to it and continue demolishing Palestinians orchards and bulldozing activists..
yep and done on a day linked to the Holocaust lengthens everybody elses guilt trip a little more.
At least one Palestinian militant has been killed in an attack by Israeli helicopter gunships in southern Gaza, Palestinian security officials said.
Missiles were fired at a car near the town of Khan Younis, they said.
The dead man was identified as Nidal Salamah and described as being linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
At least seven other people were reported wounded in the strike.
The driver of a donkey cart travelling behind the vehicle was seriously injured.
“An Israeli army spokeswoman had no immediate comment”
Palestinians say such strikes amount to extra-judicial assassinations.
Israel believes they are necessary to stop militant groups from sending out suicide bombers from the Palestinian territories into Israel.
Witnesses said helicopter gunships continued to hover over the area after the attack.
The air strike in Gaza followed another attack in the West Bank town of Bethlehem, when two militants of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades were killed by Israeli tank fire, Palestinian officials say.

Talk about hypocrisy. Day in, day out hundreds of innocent Palestinians are killed and not a *word * of condemnation or condolence by the Americans. It was your president who called a murderer like Sharon "A man of peace". If Israel wants all this to stop it has to put an end to state terrorism and murder of innocent civilians, otherwise the Palestinians are fully justified in retaliating against them.
Chosen1 the americans are learning from the Israelis in Iraq. Why do you think these guys would be any different. These posters gave up their humanity long ago.

Very well said. Phrases such as pre-emptive strikes, regime change and killing kids with rocks for self defense (as shown in Baghdad two days ago) targeting ambulances and journalists, media lies, downplaying no. of casualties, covering up of killings, and total disregard for International law are a few examples of Americans learning from the Israeli experience. They learned good.

More decades will pass before ANY real break occurs. There is no possibility of any kind of peace with Sharon in Israel and likes of Bush in US.

This is a perfect example of the mentality the Israelis are dealing with. And once again the majority here blames the side that is not Muslim. Taking responsibility is a bitch, isn’t it?
You would think the new Pali prime minister would be given a chance to try and make a difference.
Too bad there are still people out there suicide bombing.
Are they government sponsered?
I wonder if it would make a difference if media would ignore those people and consider them just as criminals.
Arrrest them and put them in jail, just as they do serial killers.
I sometimes wonder about 2 killings in Tel Aviv or elsewhere cannot just be considered criminal act. And not blame the government.
There are muders that occur in the U.S. that are not blamed on the government.
I don't think it's possible to stop every murder from happening. A murder is a murder. I don't think it always should be blamed on the government.
Suicide bombings should be blamed on those that commit the crime of murder and suicide and that action should be blamed on the ones that commit those crimes.

Hypocrisy? Hypocrisy is when you say you want peace but condone actions such as this bombing which are meant to stop peace. Hypocrisy is criticizing any and every Israeli or American action which results in civilian casualties, but continue to support these murderous actions by Palestinians. Call it blame displacment, conspircacy theory, unable to take responsibility, ignorance, inherently violent society, whatever you want, but call it for what it is - terrorism meant to displace Israel and disrupt any chance at a peaceful co-existence. It is oh so conveniently overlooked that the only reason Israel occupies Palestinian territories is to keep these murdering thugs from waltzing in and blowing up cafes. And until Palestinian leadership can put a stop these organized homicide bombers, they will continue to be occupied. Let's hope this new leadership will get serious about peace. If they are, then Israel will be forced to the peace table and forced to withdraw.

Who is occupying the Palestinian lands?
Who is building illegal settlements on these lands?
Whos is ignoring all the UN resolutions to stop these settlements and withdraw from occupied lands?
Who helps them by vetoing every resolution critical of Israel?
Who holds the UN in contempt?
Who kills hundreds of Palestinians on a regular basis and then when retaliation comes calls them terrorists?
Who rewards the Israeli leader with the title of man of peace every time he commits more murders of innocent Palestinians.
Who took the longest route to go to Israel last year to give the Israeli leadership more time to finish off the Palestinians in Jenin and elsewhere.
It is so convenient to overlook the misery and injustice being inflicted on Palestinians and only harp on about the security of Israel. Well the bottom line is if Israel wants peace it will have to respect the Palestinian right to exist same as the Palestinians will have to accept Israeli right to exist. If the Israelis are serious about it then the first step should be the cessation of state terrorism. Your contention about the ONLY reason for Israeli occupation is to keep away the Palestinian from murdering them is rubbish and just goes to show when you accuse others of bias views you need to examine your own. Is building illegal settlements by right wing jewsih extremists also a part of keep the murdering Palestinians at bay? The retaliation by Palestinians is not terrorism, it is a reply to the state terrorism which is practised so openly by the butcher of Shabra and Jenin.
Blah, blah, blah. Same old rationalizations to justify terrorism.
No one said Israel is the saint in all this and does not share blame for the absence of peace. But is it impossible for you to admit that Palestinians MUST stop terrorist attacks and accept the right of Israel to exist in order to achieve peace? Do you think the Israel is going to give up on settlements and occupation as a response to terrorism? BOTH sides must cease hostilities, come to the bargaining table and respect the right for the other to co-exist peacefully.
