Suspected suicide blast kills 14 at Pakistan vote rally: ministry

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) — At least 14 people were killed in a suspected suicide bombing at an election rally on Saturday in northwest Pakistan, the interior ministry said.
“Fourteen people were killed and 24 wounded in an apparent suicide attack at an election rally,” interior ministry spokesman Brigadier Javed Cheema told AFP.
Police said the blast happened at a rally of the Awami National Party (ANP), an ethnic Pashtun nationalist party, in the town of Charsadda in North West Frontier Province.
Such cowards, these people want to spread their ideas with violence and fear rather than through discussion and debate because they know those with any reason will reject their barbaic and backward views. These cowards are no better than a stray dogs heal.
I have serious doubts that it was a suicide attack. ANP has no beef with the militants. The party (ANP) has strongly condemned the recent operation in Dara Adam Khel by the Paki Military.
One only has to look at the events of May 12 2007 in Karachi to find out how the current regime operates like petty gangsters, and would go to any length to stay in power...
The ANP have not openly said anything aggressively against the suicide bombers and militants but they are like chalk and cheese. the ANP will be targetted more than ever before .
