PESHAWAR: Forty people were killed in a mosque bombing in northwest Pakistan, with 85 wounded, a government official said.
Local administrator Fazal Khan said there’s some evidence it was a suicide attack.
Some 300 people were at the mosque for Friday prayers when the bomb exploded in the Ghundi village of Khyber tribal region.
Pakistan’s tribal belt is a hotbed of militant activity, as well as sectarian rivalry.
No group claimed responsibility for the bombing, but the Taliban and other insurgents have attacked scores of targets in the area, which lies along the Afghan border.

Somehow many guppies think that you know urdu very well, but from above quote it seems like as if you could not read the news in Urdu and when you post any news about Pak, you write your opinion in nastalleq urdu making everyone believe that you are Urdu/Muslim back ground......whatsup with that?

Dear readers, our condolences go to those who lost loved ones in this senseless act of TTP violence. Does this latest attack not remind us that the goal of terrorist organizations like TTP and Haqqani network is to push Pakistan to chaos and fear? TTP is responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent Pakistanis. Could we even begin to imagine the loss parents, extended family members, siblings and friends feel? TTP conspiracy theorists continue in their attempt to hide reality and mislead us into believing the deaths are part of a so-called war against Islam. Is the real truth, dear readers, that it is terrorists like TTP who target places where Muslims gather, like mosques, markets, bus stations, banks, and shrines, to claim the maximum number of innocent lives? The TTP boastfully takes credit for bombings with no remorse for the dead. TTP, without shame, offer no condolences to those who lost the loved ones in this senseless act of violence.

Good to hear. But how well have local militias worked in the past in FATA? And is there any one left who will fight these people after so many elders have been killed?

Well enough in Mohmand and Bajaur. Certainly better than the PA. On the other hand, Frontier Corps could be a formidable force. Unfortunately, the way that FC has been treated in the Pakistan Army is a joke -- whenever the lashkars have formed, these thugs have been routed. It is absolutely false to believe that Waziris are "protecting" TTP and other anti-state elements.
On the ground, you see Pakistani military supporting (nurturing) the Taliban focused on Afghanistan and also protecting their assets while trying to take on the TTP and other ant-state elements. Unfortunately what PA and most of you people don't realize is that the greatest deterrent is recruiting the local people to clean up the mess.
