Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

Interesting that women were the target. Here’s a video of 2 mullahs laughing about suicide bombing women. One of them might be the culprit.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

Unfortunately its only events like this that is going unite people against these Islamic Terrorists.

There are many people in Pakistan who were against the government from attacking the Red Mosque and beleive these ridicilous conspiracy theories that 1,500 students were executed, etc...

But it will only take events like this that will hammer in people's minds that these people are evil and anti-Islam.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

I am outraged by these actions. Something must be done to return normalcy to Pakistan.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

its a cowardly act.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

pakistan is becoming like another Iraq :bummer:
why they are allowing public meetings and gathering, when there are already lot of disturbances

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

I don’t think they are mullahs … they are just normal citizens. However, I am so shocked and disgusted by what they said. Astaghferullah … I bet they are proud of saying these kinds of things about the protestors. I’m seriously disturbed by this.

Either you keep your mouth shut or face all kinds of filthy abuse by these fanatics. Can you even have any type of sane discussion with such filth?

Very disgusted. I’m sure even some “esteemed” posters were are drooling at the thought of suicide bombings or inflicting any type of violence against these protestors. I hope they grow enough guts to straps bombs on themselves instead of encouraging others. Buzdil cowards.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

No, but they do know for a fact already that Musharraf did this :D

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

According to Supreme Bar Council, it was not a suicide attack. Similar thing has been said by eye-witnesses.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

I see Flame. Horrible. I remember back in 1989 or so there had been a blast at Ayub Market and the waves were felt farther into the streets towards Nazimuddin Rd side and at homes including ours, the windows shook, that was a small one as far as I recall and only 2 shopkeepers died.

This one was much bigger...my cousin who lives two streets away from our old home says they felt the waves. Our guy in our home in F-11 told on phone he felt the bang that far away...

God bless everyone.

P.S. On a happier note. Good to see you're a cat lover too! Which breed? :)

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

which breed? Desi one’s. :hehe: They r two of them. Both male. Came to our house when they was young, looking for food. Never went back.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

Did lawyers plant the bomb that they know so much about the explosion? This is all part of mullah plan to steal pakistan’s nukes. They will have the greatest benefit from civil war, it is so obvious.

Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad

Still any doubts about this being a suicide blast?

Probe confirms suicide blast at CJ’s convention: Death toll rises to 19

By Mohammad Asghar

RAWALPINDI, July 20: Investigators examining evidence of the blast in Islamabad’s upmarket F-8 sector last Tuesday have declared that it was a suicide bombing with possible connections with the Lal Masjid, Dawn learnt on Friday.

The joint team probing the explosion, which took place a short time before Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry was due to address a lawyers’ convention, comprised officials of the Federal Investigation Agency, police and intelligence services.

In its report sent to the federal government, the team noted that: “It was a suicide bombing as a skull found at the site, which is believed to be that of the bomber, clearly suggested the use of an explosive belt that might have been a part of such stocks recovered from the Lal Masjid.”

According to the investigators, around five to six kilogrammes of “low-quality explosive material” was used in the improvised explosive device (IED), which was detonated in the terrorist attack, sources told this reporter.

A senior official close to the investigation revealed that the explosive material used in Islamabad suicide attack was different from that used in the blasts carried out in other parts of the country in the recent spate of suicide bombings.

He said the inquiry report categorically rejected the theory that a remote-controlled device had caused the deaths and destruction in the federal capital.

The report also suggested that either the suicide bomber was in a sitting position or the IED was placed on a chair when it was set off, he added.

“The blast left no crater because the explosive device was at least two feet higher than the ground level,” he said.

Meanwhile, one of the victims of the deadly bomb blast died in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) Thursday night, raising the death toll to 19.

Doctors have described the condition of several other wounded persons as critical.

Hospital sources said the 10 out of the 40 injured being treated in Pims and the Federal Government Services Hospital had been discharged. Out of the 40 injured people, 25 are being treated in Pims with five of them in critical condition.

Four of the bodies are yet to identified as these were charred beyond recognition.

The high intensity blast occurred last Tuesday outside the venue of a lawyers’ convention at the District Bar Council, Islamabad, killing 17 people and injuring more than 55 others.

Most of the victims were political workers waiting to receive Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, who was to address the lawyers.
