Now there are two explosions in Islamabad. There could be TWO resons
Re-action of Lal Masjeed
or
Govt. planned these explosion itself…
Because everyone known there was too much high and red alart in Islamabad after Lal Majeed Operations.
Court already told hearing of Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will be completed till by this Friday 20-july.
On the other hand in court till today’s activity it seems Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will win agaist Musharaf.
Therefore, after these explosions govt can take adventages.
A bomb exploded on the stage prepared for the address of the Chief Justice to the Islamabad Bar. Four persons have so far been reported to be killed and a number of people were wounded.
Blood was spread at the place of explosion. A police van was seen rushing to the explosion place.
The Chief Justice was due here to address the Islamabad Bar and his convoy was staying near to the Balochistan House.
Re: Islamabad F-8 Blast/Explosion at CJ address venue
This is extremely sad. Another episode resulted in dozens of lost lives. All the good work done regarding quality of life, investment friendly environments, has gone haywire. God Bless the departed souls.
It is too early to say. According to initial reports, its suicide bombing so we can rule Govt out of it.
Police officer Kamal Khan said there was a “very big explosion” as hundreds of people gathered ahead of a speech by CJ Iftikhar who was on way from his official residence to the venue of his address at the district bar association meeting . “The explosion appeared to be underneath the stage set up for the chief justice.
So Musharaf Did this, RIght??? I mean Blast happen like 20 minutes ago and you know that Musharaf is involved…
It may be a suicide bomber and even people closet to Musharaf will not blow themselves up for him, so that rules out any Govt involvement in it
Re: Islamabad F-8 Blast/Explosion at CJ address venue
Geo news is saying that this was at a PPP rally camp - NOT CJ VENUE as first thought, and they were probably the target because they supported the govts Lal Masjid operation.
12 people killed.
Suicide bombers head found (not body).
Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad
Dayum. this is getting too close for comfort. Although I know that none in my close friends will attend a stupid rally like this, the loss of life is very sad.
Oh well brings back the memories of the night when we were sitting in Jinnah Super and there was a blast in the small alley under the stairs leading to the first floor. We were right in front of book fair at that time. After trying to see what had happened we all decided to go to Super market. While we were leaving there was another one in F-8 markaz, and then as we were entering the parking lot in Super the third one went off right in front of our eyes. For all of us it was strangely exciting but I do remember that people in the twin cities were scared for quite sometime.

According to the Dawn report, the blast was under the stage where the CJ was due to speak.
It doesn't take a lot to figure out who would gain from the CJ being eliminated, and who was behind the attack - it would hardly be the first time!
Re: Suicide attack at CJ address venue in Islamabad
The blast was NOT under the CJ's stage - in fact the bombing happened at a PPP rally camp well outside.
It's unfortunate that people cannot foresake their extreme biases at a time when our people are being killed in NWFP and Islamabad by religious extremists.

Aanhaan, and Musharraf and company are stupid enough to make a martyr out of a threat that is about to become insignificant in a few weeks anyway.
How about the theory that Mullah goons did this, knowing full well that there are plenty of people like you in Pakistan who'll blame this on the government, and use this opportunity for their anti-Musharraf agenda, and probably start a civil war.
If anyone has any doubts as to how far this Taaliban-AlQaida-Mullah alliance can go to create a civil war, we have the example of Iraq in front of us.
