I wish they had the balls to do that. But all they can do is engage in a discussion of ifs-and-buts, not denounce these tactics categorically. Yes, when you press them hard enough in individual 1-on-1s or TV programs, they will concede that these acts are not Islamic, but they don't spend much time denouncing them strongly on their own. And if you want to know what strong denounciations look like, think Salman Rushi Protests, think Anti-Ahmedi movements. These terrorists are doing more damage to Islam than Salman Rushi or the 'so called Ahmedi threat' can, but our Ulemas won't raise the same level of awareness or opposition against them. Why? Because the people engaged in terrorists acts are the ones Mullahs depend on for their political and street power.

Do you prefer to eat karhi with roti or rice?

govt is responsible for this. in the interest of public safety, govt should have imposed section 144 which would made it easier to deal with lal masjid blowback. instead govt is worried about appearing dictatorial and does not impose measures required to maintain public safety. sure some people, such as lawyers, will protest but that would be the perfect opportunity to throw these people in jail and throw away the key.

Yep, it's not that terrorist ******* who killed all the innocnet people around him, but the govt that didn't do x, y, z, c, d, and g. Section 144? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Pakistan is an impossible place to run.

Nope, terrorist killed these people because of x, y, z Musharraf did. So it's not the terrorists' fault, but Musharraf's. We don't blame the murderer in this country, we blame the government, which pays off really well if it's being run by the Army because then all the politicians can join in and get some mileage out of the National tragedies.

I mean why would Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif, or Qazi Hussein condemn these attacks? Why let go of an opportunity to blame Musharraf for something. Let me become the Prime Minister/President first, and then i'll thin about condemning terrorism!

sir dig a lot, i believe awam would rally around the govt if the govt took decisive actions against jehadi scum. reaction after last juma clearly indicates that awam has no sympathy for the terrorist. same cant be said of our al-qaeeda sympathising media. govt's opponents will never be happy and govt is putting the lives of the citizens at stake by not acting decisively. first job of govt is to protect lives everything else be damned.

i definitely think karachi would be a target. i believe may 12 killings were in response to the mqm rally against lal masjid. people behind the terrorist scum is smart - they know how to choose targets which cause the maximum damage to pak such as targeting of chinese people in pak.

Khek, I dont know what the pattern is. But Lahore and Karachi both are at risk.

I just think ALL PAKISTANIS IN ALL CITIES SHOULD BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL AND AVOID RISKY AREAS AND GATHERINGS.

Don't think for a second these Taaliban inspired Mullahs and Arab controlled terrorists are not picking their targets. Their hatred for non-believers is so intense, that they don't mind killing hundreds of thousands of their own people just to embarrass and engage the "non-believers." They have been doing it in Iraq, where they committed mass bloodshed of both Shia's and Sunnis to incite a civil war, and they are boudn to repeat their successful experiment in Pakistan. Alas, it will be too late by the time Qazi fking Hussein will realize it!
