i dotn know why this thread is dragging on. why even marry into such a family? u dont have to outright ask them if they practice this to know they are jahil. its the weird things they do/say thru out the rishta/wedding process that should let u know.
for example, one time we went to a girls house in ny with my uncles rishta and the girls father asked my uncle if he knows the ayatul kursi. and we were all just bewildered. thats not the type of question we would ask or want to be asked when going to a girls (or boys) house with a rishta the first time... maybe after the first few times if u really are so religious. needless to say her dad turned out to be a crazy/disturbed/abusive man who claimed to be so religious and the rishta didnt take place.
