ok so apparently suhag raat is supposed to be for checking if the bride is pure/a virgin. But, how about in all those cases when girls (through physical activity/sports/injury) break their hymen?
**is checking for “blood” on the wedding night ligit?
how widely is it still used? **
especiallly for girls living in the U.S / Canada etc. and get married to someone from back home. aka-Pakistan. Like all my friends are in sports and maybe even use tampons for swimming etc.
Even though this may be a personal question, but girls, anyone been through this? What happens? Do men still follow the old rule for showing the “sheets” to their moms or is it now old fashioned.. Just want an idea of how common it is in Pakistanis.
(i just joined the forum. dont know if their was already a topic on this)
Islamically there is no such thing to check your wife if she bleeds the first night or not. I will find you a hadith on this matter InshAllah. but i know for sure that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said dont suspect your wife if she dont bleed the first night.
Thanks . Yea def share that Hadith with me . I just don't understand why so many women are startin to get the hymen replacement surgery if it's not even in Islam .
This is the most disgusting backwards practice ever. I'm pretty sure it is only used in the paindoo/jahil villages of Pakistan and probably some other third world countries.
this is not isolated to jahil families. I know someone whose mother in law was from a very highly educated family and the next day decided to 'change the bedsheets'...yeah right..if that wasnt checking for spots..???
ppl just dont know how to do it properly.. especially paki men .. they just go for the chitty chitty bang bang.. it's BOOM BOOM and they're finished... there's no foreplay or consideration for pleasing the women.. there just concerned with satisfying themselves..
