I'm having an arranged marriage and even though i talk to him now that still doesn't mean that my shyness will dissipate as soon as i scribble my signature on the dotted line.
I think it's quite disgusting personally. The same people who will promote the girls shouldn't mix with guys philosophy will decorate the torture chamber with flowers.
And to think people will want to know 'what' happened etc etc makes me want to kill them :)
Hehe... this reminds me of a topic I saw a long while back on an Islamic web forum, in the "Brothers Only" section.
Basically, it was a bunch of religious UK teenagers/early 20s guys wondering what to do on the wedding night, on the basis that they were feeling really uncomfortable with the idea of doing the deed with a total stranger.
The general consensus they came to was to spend the first night in prayer together and studying & discussing Islam, as a means of drawing spiritually closer together.
Although one guy gave the story of a friend of his, who was all ready to do prayers and study Islam with his wife. But just as he began to talk to his wife about this, she pushed him onto the bed and......
....needless to say, he felt distinctly humbled the next morning.

nothing wrong with horny men. its only a mechanism designed to maximize reproductive fitness if used appropriately.

PCG, please, roshnie daaliyay. What's the appropriate use?
relax people! for centuries our ancestors have been doing it with total strangers on the wedding night...so it wont be so bad....believe me i am talking from experience! :)
in a way it is the best thing to do--you get it out of the way and then you can get to know each other in the coming days/months/years etc...
also in our culture it is kind of expected...
also ladies think of it like this: if you're hubby can't get it up or has some other problem then you will know about it immediately and, in islamic law, can ask for a divorce :)
and the best reason of all...it is SEX ....enjoy!
Imam Ghazzali says that of all the pleasures which Allah has given to the believers in this world it is the best!
:)
plus girls aren't you supposed to be shy on the first night (even if you are not?) that's tradition right?
i mean can you imagine what a guy would think if his virgin bride ripped off his clothes and rode him like a donkey as soon as he got into the bedroom?!
