I’m an April 2018 bride so I’ll probably be posting a few threads here and there for advice and suggestions! Bare with me!
I’m going to Pakistan this October-November for wedding shopping. We’ll be going to Islamabad and I haven’t been to Pakistan in probably over a decade! So I really have no idea of any shops and such there. We do have family there that can help us with it and will, but I figured if any of you have recent experience with shopping in Islamabad then some advice and suggestions would be appreciated!
I will be shopping for both mine and my fiance’s Nikkah outfits so I need to know of any good shops in Islamabad and surrounding areas that sell decent ready-made things, and also of any good shops that custom make dresses incase we can’t decide on a ready-made! And are there any good shops for men’s sherwani’s and such? Party-wear and post wedding outfits is not that big of a deal, I’m more worried about getting the wedding day outfits made and on time for both me and fiance. How long does it generally take for a dress to be custom made if you have an idea already of what kind of dress and kaam you want? My stay in Pakistan is around 7 weeks.
Any help is appreciated, like I said I haven’t been in over a decade, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to Islamabad. Just Lahore and Karachi. I know there are previous posts about shopping in Islamabad but I just wanted a recent and updated list of stores we could visit.
Cestlavie, There are some really good Bridal wear shops entering Pindi , I have shopped from Mohsin and sons multiple occasions and their dresses are awesome.

Thank you! I'll definitely be checking out the Pindi area, so I'll put Mohsin and Sons on the list :)
is it possible to get a nice bridal outfit in Rawalpindi for say 700 dollars?
designers are pretty expensive what if someone dos not want to spend much on a dress...

If you want something off the shelf, that's a good enough budget. If you want something custom made, you might have to stretch it a little.
check mohsin and sons for bridal.
and there are some boutiques in F10 markaz for formal and semi formal wedding outfits.
Also Oct/Nov is not a peak wedding season in Pakistan so if you place your order in first week of your arrival, then you are likely to get in 4-6 weeks time.

Thank you, that's good to know! Seems like I picked a good time to be heading there.

THIS. Pindi is actually quite good...lots of variety and ever so slightly cheaper (I emphasise on the slightly)
