Recently, i’ve been obsessed with uk bhangra for some reason. i have very few bhangra songs in my computer and am looking for some more good ones. everyone who i ask tells me to download “shaher” by Punjabi hit squad but i already have that song. i starting to wonder if shaher is the only uk bhangra song that ppl know abt. so plz, suggest some more good “fast” song.
preferably, bhangra mixed wiht rnb is good.

first of all, have u heard of Urban Explosion? It has a bunch of Bhangra/rnb tracks, they sell it every where for about 16 quid, though you can get it at near enough any dodgy stall in southall for under a tenner ;).
if you've got Kazaa why not download anything by Metz & Trix, Punjabi Hit squad, RDB & Rishi Rich. there's tons of other artists and groups also.
As for particular tracks, check these out, lemme know what you think of them:

for some old school UK bhangra look up stuff by azad as well.
if youa re looking for other stuff than just bhangra, look up asian dub foundation, fun-da-mental, nitin sawhney, the dhol foundation, charged etc etc.
UK asian scene is very happening, explore it beyond the bhanhra tsuff if you get a chance.

Not that I am worried about showing my age :0 but i actuallydid nto hear much stuff by azaad until mid nineties. was not into the bhangar scene when alaap was out. I guess when the desis in Uk were riding teh first bhangra wave with all i was into the punk scene more.
but azad still have some of the best bhangra songs out.. at my wediding azaad's songs were what he dances were to. the yankistanis had never heard of them and were blown away
anyway for some weird experimental shyt of the now deceased muslimgauze pick up some of hsi stuff like "bharbhoo of pakistan railways" .."maghribi haramzada" "salam alaikum *******" and "lets have more dagga begum" not for everyone, very experimantal stuff that u can only enjoy if u are doped up big time :) another interesting one is "beanzir bhottos hands are clean" and "qazi hussein ahmad" :)
start with "dog on tabla" though..

My fav bhangra album as to be Punjabi MC’s “Legalised”, who’s soundtrack was featured on the movie American Desi, without his permission. He has since changed his record label and sued the old one.
