Re: subway

ur in UK rite?
if u eat only halal , then tunafish or veggie
if ur in pak, then watever u want, cz its all halal :yummy:

Re: subway

No. I didn't really have time to enjoy the American type food. I mostly went to desi restaurants at Gawal Mandi Food Street and other lahori restaurants. I wish I could try Subway but I only had a chance to try Pizza Hut and McDonalds, and Chinese restaurants.

Pizza Hut = Lahori and Karachi guppies took me there for meet.
McDonald = Simply Seema took me there when I landed in Karachi
Chinese Restaurant = I went there with my uncle.

Re: subway

I stayed away from desi restaurants..i figure..i get a million times better at home for free, why pay for it? I tried the pepperoni at pizza hut.. it was gud heheh

I went to this place, Mirchi with my parents...their pepper chicken and sesame chickn was totally diffferent than the sesame chicken here..but still great..

i miss pakistan :(

Re: subway

My brothers friends took us to some place for burgers in Islamabad…I didnt really want burgers…but had no choice cuz him and his friends wanted to go there. anyway it was me mom and 3 of my uncles kids there. we stayed in Pindi for 2 nites but when we got home …after having them burger meals …we were all up at nite…vomiting :yukh: we got food poisoned :teary1: It was so horrible…I hadnt puked since I was a kid and its such a horrible feeling..

then I learnt a very valuable lesson…only go to restaurants that uncle takes me to and NONE other…cuz he knew what was best place. anyway, then when we got back to uncles place…it was like a hospital at home…cuz we were ALL sick (apart form uncle and his wife…cuz they didnt go with us).

then uncle tried to make it up to me…by saying he knows a place where they have great pineapple etc. juices with icecream etc. It was really nice…and I said to uncle in the beginning …I only want a little bit…but he said I had to finish the whole glass :teary1: and I couldnt. anyway…he took us to all the best restaurants after that…even when we went Lahore…but after that incident in Islamabad…I didnt feel like eating much from anywhere…and uncle was :frowning: with me for not eating.

Re: subway

wudnt know ..cant have it here.. sabiun haramun.. all i have is tuna one

Re: subway

:-) won the bet 2 years ago for using the free sub coupon WITHIN a week ..

only person in my gang who ate the MOST foot longs in a day.. (4 tuna/seafood combos) but then again.. was doing extremely tough physical work those days.. subway pushes ur metabolism to the ROOF!

Re: subway

I don't go to Subway very often but when I do, I have the Tuna sandwich. I find that really good, but a little bit too expensive if you ask me. But maybe the Subway-prices in other countries are lower.

Re: subway

I had subway just now and it was ____ :(

had the veggie patty with the salad etc....but it wasnt what I expected. I just read hadith yesterday that you shouldnt say anything bad about food...hence I will not say anytihng.

all I can say is that I wont have it again.

Re: subway

Re: subway

^ 1 out of a 100 times I eat chicken breast or turkey.

Re: subway

Re: subway

hmmm…its ok to eat haram 1% of the time?

Re: subway

According to Maliki fiqh, it’s not haram.

Personally, I don’t follow follow Maliki fiqh so I avoid meat that’s not labelled as halal.

However, I don’t know about you, but I believe that Imam Malik knew a little bit more about Islam than I do so I’m extremely uncomfortable with going around declaring something to be haraam which he didn’t.
