Actually, I may be wrong, it's either Maliki or Shafi fiqh that allows considers the meat of the Ahle Kitab to be not haraam. i can't remember exactly which one it was.
The problem with your previous post is that the scholars who follow the opinion of that fiqh, such as the Egyptian Shaikh Qaradawi, use the Quran and hadith to backup the view that such meat is not haraam.
The Quran and Hadith can be used to backup several different and often opposing beliefs, hence the existence of several fiqhs in Islam rather than just one.
I also know that it is ok to eat meat of ahle-kitab.....but those were the devoted and proper Ahle-Kitab of them days.
these days, the majority of non-Muslims/gorey are Atheists. hence we cannot eat their meat cuz its not slaughtered in the proper way.
also the reason for eating halal meat is because it is more healthy for us.
eg. a chicken that hasnt been slaughtered properly and the blood is not allowed to drain out fully....is ONLY haram because it contains the bacteria etc in the blood and its very unhealthy to eat. you can get many illnesses from it. Theres a reason and logic behind everything Islam prohibits.
oh boy..i knew this discussion would happen
if u guys want to argue about what’s haram/halal, what scholars/fiqhs to follow, please take it to religion forum. the whole point of cafe , in my opinion, is to relax and talk about whatever we want without getting into heated arguments.
what a waste. I couldve gotten something better with that much money. so I couldnt eat it then I had to starve until I got home. Only had a Mint Cornetto Icecream all day
You spent 9 dollars on a sandwich??
Or did you get the foot-long meal?
it's best that if ur trying something new, get only a lil bit so you don't waste :p
these joker guys were serving…so I pushed my friend forward and said she had to order first…in fact I made her order mine too…so we had the same. Maybe I shouldnt have done that
