I’m not saying I prefer the way Saudi Arabia runs - it just runs fine, though. Just bcos I hate Kobe Bryant doesn’t mean he plays crappy b-ball. You get me? Saudi has instated a rule of law from the beginning. They don’t do back and forth - they don’t try to ‘secularize’ their nation. It’s religious law and that’s it, end of story. It’s not sort of religious but kind of democratic but also kind of socialist law. When you get countries trying to do that, you have problems. Saudi Arabia is a religious example…let’s go the other way…Turkey. Chock full of Muslims but they have a secular gvmt…everything’s cool.
A lot of the laws Pakistan comes up with are weird. It’s like one foot is in the religious boat and the other is in the secular one. Both go different ways and the end result is Maya Khan and creepy aunties and aalim online frauds. =D
