Stupid gun laws in USA

Gun laws in USA are horrific. More than 1,000 mass shootings killing 1,300 people since Sandy Hook. That is horrific. Obama said that in USA, there are people who are on no fly list, yet they can walk into any gun shop and buy a gun.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

There are virtually no gun laws here. People in south dont even wanna hear about that. Its not going to happen unless we have democrat Presidents for atleast 2 decades consecutively with three-fourth majority. NRA literally funds all these congressmen and senators who play vital role in legislation. Its the most powerful mafia ruling this country from behind the curtain.
Its sad but not gona end anytime soon

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

I am amazed that Obama is so helpless in front of the NRA crowd. I don't know much about the constitution, but can't he enforce the law through some ordinance?

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Agree gun laws really need to be revisited. That said, waiting to hear about motive and who these people where,...

Holy crap. The suspects are Muslims

At Least 14 Dead in California Shooting, Two Suspects Killed - NBC News

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

You know wut i’m myself shockingly surprised to know and hear all that. Initially i thought it might be something like the attacker at planning parenthood office. I couldnt imagine that there would be some muslim name popping up. They are not revealing any detail yet but i’m sure by tomorrow we’ll have more detail but apparently when they say a woman was also involved, we know where its going.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Obama don't have the constitution to do nothing

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Today's suspects have muslim names. Maybe be connected to ISIS?

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Gun laws will help how? The criminals and those who want to kill will ALWAYS have access to guns and law abiding citizens, who have guns as means of self-defense, will be left without any means to protect themselves. If gun laws was the answer here, California already has most strict laws in the union, how is that working out?

The shooters in most of these shootings are usually on some type of drug, like antidepressants or are just mentally disturbed.

Obama has executive order but constitution is there to make sure he doesn't cross the limit, not to violate institutional rights of the citizens.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

The problem isn't people having guns, the problem is anyone can buy them without proper background checks. Anybody suffering from a mental illness should not be allowed to have a gun. Nobody is taking anyone's guns, we just don't want them in the wrong hands.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Nation is reporting a Pakistani khatoon assailant.
Enough reason for them to invade Pakistan.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Everything going bad.

As it turned out, the shooters were Syed Farook, 28, and his wife Tashfeen Malik, 27, both from Pakistani origin.

They dropped their six month old girl to grandma before they left saying they have an appointment.

The wife Tashfeen was born in Pakistan and spent a lot of time in Saudi Arabia.

The motive is still unknown.

It may turn out really ugly for Pakistani Amercians as they 'll be seen with suspicion all over :bummer:

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

I agree mentally disturbed people should not have the guns... but again, how is that going to help? The wrong hands with wrong intentions will always have access and get one when they want to. Obviously, you can't "tag" people for mental issues... can you imagine the civil and legal issues with that? Unless you put the mentally disturbed in same category as child molesters and create a database...

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

It is not possible to clearly identify anyone's motive for buying guns, however if someone buys one auto/semi-auto guns then it should raise a flag, if someone buys more ... who the F would allow an ordinary citizen to own more than one semi-/auto guns?

There is no need to have assault rifles/auto or semi-auto guns for public. For a simple defense a TT is enough.

Everyone who has a "licensed" weapon should be called for an 'interview' every two years may be?

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

California has strict gun laws. The neighboring states dont. A chain is only as strong as the weakest link.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

I haven’t seen it in social media. Folks are correctly focusing on easy access to assault weapons.

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

What is NRA? How is it so influential on law makers?

Re: Stupid gun laws in USA

Are we going to do the same for having more than one car, SUVs, how about more than one bottles of beer, etc.? As more people die in car and DUI related accidents than with guns. Are we going to license how much alcohol and how many cars people can buy? You have to understand the history and thought behind US weapons laws and 2nd amendment before you start throwing terms like "licensing" around, that would make it a privilege, bearing arms/self-defense is a RIGHT, not a privilege.

For some TT may be enough, for others, you need more than that to stop someone. Look up FBI stats on what it takes to stop a grown man, someone with large frame... you will not get *headshot *every time.

This is not a gun laws issue, its much more than that and stricter gun laws will never solve the problem.
