Dozens of young women from a religious school in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, have broken into a brothel and kidnapped the manager.
The students from the Jamia Hafsa madrassa burst into the brothel late on Tuesday, demanding it be shut down.
The students say they have a right to end immoral activity under Islamic law.
The BBC’s Navdip Dhariwal in Islamabad says it is the first time such bold Taleban-style activity seen elsewhere in Pakistan has occurred in the city.
Police have not stepped in to rescue the brothel manager, who was taken by the women back to the madrassa after refusing to close her premises.
She is still being held against her will.
The girls have also demanded that video owners close their stores.
Our correspondent says it appears the administration is reluctant or helpless to take action against the students. Taleban-style activity has been seen in Pakistan’s tribal areas and in North West Frontier Province, where religious groups have tried to clamp down and impose Islamic law on local people.
They surely need a smack in the back specially their “USTAAD” Ghazi Abdur Rasheed.
They have made Madarsas such a place where “SHAREEF AADMEE” bhee jatey howey ghabrata hai. I did not want to say but picture look more like a BADMASHI KA AADA than Madarsa.
I swear, those women are insane... The govt toys around with these people to much... Its only a matter of time before they start objecting to even the most minor entertainments...

For example, they will start with brothels, then video stores, then music stores, then cinemas, then TV's.....leading to Taliban land situation.
a talebanized pakistan would be worse then no pakistan at all. no one wants to live under rigid interpretations of draconian law, unless they are mad. islamic law prohibits so much "modern" entertainment, that it would render life unlivable.

hey tomorrow if some brothel workers kidnapped some madrissahs mullah and asked that the madrissa be shut down because it teaches extremism and all, what would you say to that?
govt gave them some dheel, toh dimagh kharab ho gaya hai in ka. if they were friggin tear gassed out of the library, had some chitrol at the hands of lady cops and tossed in jail for them breaking the law, maybe they would have stayed in their senses.
