If the immigration laws were tightened, it would mean that other people from around the world would be able to access American educational systems and arabs would go back to sniffing camels. Arabs or muslims who come to the US and have the above attitude of entitlement are jokers. Drive towards diversity, a wholly American concept, the likes of which you will never find in any muslim land, is a leading contributor to why arabs/muslims are selected to study here.

heres the thing in easier terms for you. whatever the reason you hold to be true, encouraging diversity, maintaining the technological base, financial benefit to the universities, international students, including Muslims arent brought into america for doing them any favours. it is in your benefit as well. it isnt altruistic. so get off your high horse. i dont rub my research papers in your face, you dont rub your research lab in mine.

Now to arab money… Come back to me with the combined GDP of Arab countries, and I will tell you of 30 companies in America that are larger than that. It’s a losing proposition for the muslim world if they are not given the privilege to study in the US or other western establishments.

we can argue from here to kingdom kong about who loses more, both lose. in addition, whether or not this happens in the future, those who are here and those who have left certainly dont have to stand this bluster.

you folks dont make regulations for anyone except your own country so leave ‘other western establishments’ out of it. europe and east asia are always options and with the xenophobia prevalent here (and increasing outsourcing of tech jobs to asia), they’re becoming increasingly attractive and consequently richer in diversity and intellect.
