I can assure you ravage that this is a bare nerve with Americans. When criticism of America goes to far, Americans close ranks. Instead of being so defensive, you should ask yourself why Americans are jumping all over this issue on this board.
I'll say this again. No one minds if a student criticises American foreign policy. This country was built on dissent. But American hate to think we are being taken advantage of by guests. And plenty has appeared here to make us think that people that we have taken in not only have policy differences, but secretly hate us. This is the reaction you are seeing.
