What should be the normal blood pressure in 20s and 30s.
Are there any un-common tips for keeping it in check, other than exercise, healthy food etc. Thanks

Re: Strictly for Adults
90/120
mine has always been pretty much below this since my early 20s until now and my pulse is always "error". LOL, this time my dad tried to do it several times with two meters but same prblm on both. but i think above is the normal for an adult.
Re: Strictly for Adults
err think it is 120/90 (ie 120 over 90)
Re: Strictly for Adults
and and and… why such a misleading topic???
i mean it is not really an “strictly adult” one ![]()
minah, you’re right.
Re: Strictly for Adults
Hum ... I always thought 120 was too much, it should be aruond 100/80s.
Re: Strictly for Adults
Mine shot up to 90/140 reading the title and dropped down to 70/110 after reading the first post.

Re: Strictly for Adults
120 systolic 70 diastolic to 135/85 is the normal range.
Re: Strictly for Adults
120/80… For a young healthy gentleman, it should always be below the mentioned blood pressure. According to new medical studies, a normal blood pressure should be around **115/75 **…
At 120/80-90, you can still develop cardiovascular complications.
Re: Strictly for Adults
It should be lower than 120/80 according to WebMD.com
Re: Strictly for Adults
When the diastolic is above 90, Im thinking its time to worry. Even so it would have to remain that way for a certain period of time. Blood pressure fluctuates quite frequently so if its high once in a blue moon- no reason to panic.
CA -- nope. Thats normal. A bit higher and a bit lower also goes.

Re: Strictly for Adults
MQ, s/he must be desi...:p My mom's uncle is a doc too and he told her it's ok for diabetics to have upto 150 sugar level, he was absolutely wrong!
Re: Strictly for Adults
Actually no...besides my dads been quite ill the past year...so me checking his blood pressure...its all become quite familiar. And Ive learned the "norms" of such health related questions.
Re: Strictly for Adults
Same here MQ...My mom has been sick for a while now so I know quite a lot about these things. I tend to be a little strict, if the normal level is 120 then I believe we should try to keep our BP level a little below that coz most people of this age range usually have a high blood pressure problem.
Re: Strictly for Adults
Well low blood pressure is also no good - results in fainting spells.
Re: Strictly for Adults
You're right but the level has to be extremely low to cause such conditions. Plus, people in this age range rarely have low BP problem so it's better to rather keep the level lower than high.
Re: Strictly for Adults
You confused people

My heart gets out of control, whenever I see pulsating redhead making me feel dumb infront of some handful of ravishing virgin chicks..
I mean there is some problem with me, you are right :k:
Re: Strictly for Adults
Code _red, I worked for a the NHS for a while when they ran schemes to teach people from the Indian Sub continent to change their eating habits because as soon as they reached 50 or a bit over they'd suffer from high blood pressure probs, hypertension, and heart disease and diabetes. (these illnesses affect this a high percentage of people in this group)
The idea was to get them to use very little salt,
bake things like samosa's, dont use ghee...use sunflower oil, etc
If you train yourself now, you'll have a better chance not getting the above and you should especially take care if you have a family history.
If you want I can send you more info.
