I have no sympathy with these gangs, they should all be thrown in prison for life, they are scums, but so are comments of Jack Straw. Would he call all MP’s son’s druggies after his son was arrested for drug dealing/possession.

That's my point ehsan, at the same time these Pakistani men where arrested, the police also found a ring of white middle aged paedophiles in Cornwall, where are Jack Straws comments on them?

I for one appreciate Straw's braveness. Politicans can't always glorify ethnic ghettoism in the name of multiculturalism! Racists or not, Pakistani UK community is seriously embarrassing and probalmatic aspect of British society, compare it to Pakistani community of North America. Straw played it clever by not painting it as an 'Asian' thing, he specifically named and shamed Pakistanis, which might led to some self assessment within the community. Although I know this gonna yield a typical counter racism (yes Pakistanis can be racist pigs too - oh no you did not mention us, you are racist and we loath you attitude ) and fire up the already existing victim yet militant mentality within the British Pakistan community.

... nobody has yet provided proof that this is a problem in the Pakistani community in Britain apart from this gang that were convicted who are clearly not representative. Interesting how Pakistanis from other areas seem to find their high horse so easily.

British Pakistanis are generally self consciously outsiders, they maintain that separation from society as a whole in the name of religion and ethncity. Its no wonder they get a special mention.

What does the blue highlighted statement means.
It means a specific problem in regards to the grooming of underage white schoolgirls but he hardly said all Pakistani men were sex offenders, that is clear from the sentence before the one you've highlighted in blue.. It refers to the grooming thing, not rapes or sex crimes in general..

He's clearly singling out Pakistanis as having a predliction to sexual abuse which is an untrue accusation and smears our whole community, but you're hanging onto the word "some" like it's some kind of life raft, he smeared our community, he represents a portion of our community his comments are not brave, they are cowardly, racially inciting and vote mongering.

Yeah quite brave for a politican who's associated with a pro diversity party and argued against Nick Griffin on national TV. Views are changing with situation in Pakistan and condition of Pakistanis within Britain, politicans politicans don't have to give glossy and apologetic remarks, if they want to fight fascism then they'd have to start adressing the issues a common British wants to hear about.

Are you aware of how desperate the Labour Party are to get votes, that they will prey on the Pakistani community that admitdely is not the most educated or economically well off? The Labour Party are not pro diversity like any political party they are pro votes and pro power.
Please read about Phil Woolas another Labour Party politician who was stripped of his status and privlidges after having a racist vote campaign...

They dont have to give apologetic remarks and no need to give apologetic comments on such an issue but at the same time stupid and cheap remarks to garner a few votes should also not be given and that is what straw did. They didn't believe anything (its all clear by now), lol, they just thought public is stupid enought to fooled by such crap.
Its stupid and cheap to you, but not in the world of politics. Labour got so much flak for ignoring their white working class voters, and now they trying to win them back which could make a difference in their political standing.
