Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

LOL your using daily mail as you’re “evidence”

The Rhamadan foundation in the UK is a joke, it’s not representative and shunned by most mosques in Britain, they’re entirely funded by the British government and are known not to represent any Muslim community but there fore political spin purposes what a joke.

The Daily Mail has also not identified these agencies or experts, which outlines the fact its a fabrication.

Still can’t ever over the fact you seriously used the daily mail as evidence lol

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

I agree.. He should have worded it better.. Now the BNP and EDL will benefit from all this as well..

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

yes exactly. coz in this case its obvious they targeted that specific group.
but his comments will just make BNP get more support.

lol get ready for the Mirpur defenders :P

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

Daily Mail? Ramadhan Foundation? Give it a rest Deeba. I mean I'm not saying Pakistanis are perfect. I'm just saying, calling out Pakistanis when numbers are proportionally higher for white males is uncalled for. Simple as that. Also, I'm not a UK Pakistani but I still admit this was a provocative statement clearly ill-thought and definitely not accurate.

Also, fair enough. I'll agree with the Mirpuri statement. But its just we accuse our own when others are definitely part of the problem. Everything said and done, Pakistanis proportionally commit less crime (Whatever the nature may be) than other UK ethnicities. That's a fact. End of.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

It’s made the headlines in pretty much all the media, not just the Daily Mail and even tho I’m abroad I can see it’s being focused on on Sky News as well..

Anyway I’m done with this thread. It’s very telling that no-one has mentioned having any sympathy for the victims (children) and instead have focused on how ‘white men do it as well.’ Diverting attention away rather than condemning what’s happened.. Brilliant :k:

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

... do you really not get the point of this thread? The fact that a prominent politician who represents Pakistanis, basically smeared every single Pakistani for being rapists?

The crime is disgusting and no one on this thread has defended their actions but you just missed the point completely.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

^It says 'SOME' Pakistani men thought that way, not 'all'..

*'some young Pakistani men regard white girls as easy targets for sexual abuse, **drawing criticism from the Muslim community and other MPs.'
*

** It's hardly 'smeared every single Pakistani'.. If someone said 'some' British men think all women are slags I doubt many ppl would be getting worked up about it..

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

Dont worry, come the election he will again promise the imam in Blackburn membership of house of lords and the imam will sell his soul and deliver him the votes and the sheeps will vote for him, just like last time.

I think that's smearing all Pakistanis. Interesting how you avoided the obvious quote choice. But that wouldn't fit with the image you're trying to push on British Pakistanis would it :) .

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

maybe you should read the following form BBC website:

Former Home Secretary Jack Straw has been accused of "stereotyping" after suggesting some men of Pakistani origin see white girls as "easy meat".

Mr Straw said: "Pakistanis, let's be clear, are not the only people who commit sexual offences, and overwhelmingly the sex offenders' wings of prisons are full of white sex offenders.
"But there is a specific problem which involves Pakistani heritage men... who target vulnerable young white girls.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

I agree that's what I don't get why the Blackburn Pakistanis didn't vote him out after the niqaabi mess and the fact he was foreign secretary when the whole Iraq Afghani wars started. I mean Blackburn is like 40% Pakistani or something, he could have gone years ago with egg on his face.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

What a douche.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

I just quoted from the first bit of what the OP posted himself, the bit u have added there wasn't even in the paragraph I quoted.. Seeing as tho it's RIGHT AT THE TOP I would have thought the bit I've quoted would be the most obvious..

'LONDON: **Former Labour home secretary Jack Straw said on Saturday some young Pakistani men regard white girls as easy targets for sexual abuse, **drawing criticism from the Muslim community and other MPs.'

If u want to interpret the word 'some' as meaning 'all' that is down to u..

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

^ It's there read again. towards the bottom, this is what caused the uproar and showed Jack Straw's racist qualities. Maybe you should educate yourself on the topic by reading the whole article first? And watching the offending program on Newsnight BBC before vomiting out pointless comments?

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

Typical. Cheap thrills?

Anyone who speaks against a Pakistanis becomes a racist pig? As with deep down crap (you lived with him or something?), its a well known fact that he fought Nick Griffin’s view on question time, he’s been part of the party that’s been of the party who had pretty liberal views on diversity. Yes he’s not the brightest politican out there but I doubt he’s a so called well known racist!

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

That page also says tho:

He said:** "Pakistanis, let’s be clear, are not the only people who commit sexual offences, and overwhelmingly the sex offenders’ wings of prisons are full of white sex offenders.**
"But there is a specific problem which involves Pakistani heritage men… who target vulnerable young white girls.

“We need to get the Pakistani community to think much more clearly about why this is going on and to be more open about the problems that are leading to a number of Pakistani heritage men thinking it is OK to target white girls in this way.”

‘However, speaking on the BBC’s Newsnight programme after the case, Mr Straw said vulnerable **white girls were at risk of being targeted by some Asian men.’

Source: Jack Straw: Some white girls are 'easy meat' for abuse - BBC News

**I can’t see anywhere where it’s implied that every male Pakistani out there is a potential rapist or anything similar..

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

He is a racist pig, Jack Straw isn't an idiot. He's trying to pull in all the white racist votes, who have recently become politically active again thanks to the BNP and the right wing conservatives who don't like the more "centre conservatives" who are working the liberal democrats currently. Jack Straw may be a racist bigoted pig but he is no fool that's for sure.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

What does the blue highlighted statement means.

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

He just did in what you quoted Deeba. He said Pakistani men prey on young white women. Whatever he says after, doesn’t count because he didn’t retract that comment. A politician is his words, therefore he meant every word he said including that statement, which is racist and streotyping the Pakistani community. I don’t care that he said “some” later, he didn’t retract that comment therefore he meant it and is using it to get the white racist vote! What is so difficult in understanding that?

Re: Straw in row over Pakistani men sex abuse comments

Wow, touched a nerve..

Obviously a quote from the top of an article is going to catch my eye more than one at the bottom, strangely u were implying otherwise..

And as for educating myself at least I can tell the difference between 'some' and 'all.' I can't watch Newsnight as I'm abroad which I've already mentioned.
