Yes its brave considering British Pakistani are by and large labour voters, and its obvious his remarks would’ve upset them, yet he went ahead and said what he said. I still think its brave or its another version of ‘new labour’.
How often politics is ‘morally’ right? You may be upset about his comments, but lets not forget the ‘white UK’ read and soaked in what he said without seeing anything so wrong or right with his comment.
