Seriously, folks...it isnt the job of acquaintances or remote relatives to ensure the proper behavior of children at any social function. If a child is acting up, it is the sole responsibility of the parent - to KNOW what their kids are up to AND more importantly, to teach them proper behavior in social settings which includes RESPECT for others. This is every bit as important IMO as academic learning. If a parent brings a child to a social function, the parent needs to take responsibility for their child(ren) and treat it as a rich learning experience...and this means to be WATCHFUL, it DOES NOT mean go off and socialize while your kids run rampant.

Ms Shweetz I think does not have children of her own and it should not be assumed that ANYONE will take over the discipline of an unruly child. Not her responsibility, its not something she is accustomed to doing nor SHOULD it be. She was harassed by unsupervised, bratty out of control children, plain and simple. So stop picking on her!

It would be quite harsh to judge these kids like that...

It seems like we are taking too much liberty in labeling them as such because they or their parents are not here to defend. But hey, this style of judgement Dosen't sound strange to me at all !!!

Your exposure is maybe too centripetal around male kids.

psychology expert agree that there is a slight behavioural variation among male and female child.

male kids are generaly dumb/smart, braty/submissive, active etc
female kids are dumb/smart, sweet, assertive, girly and sporty

unlike boys, girls in early age dont appreciate spanking much...And around boys of similar age they like to take charge in activities, even smart boys are dumb early on; they are submissive.

The role reverses once they reach puberty... girls like to be submissive at certain elementary levels... but work for taking charge of bigger things in life.

So in this particular case this psychology was at work. It appears that the older girl was alone so the younger ones targeted her .. Just like lioness target a lone dear/zebra, or like an eagle waits for parent bird to leave the nest so he could catch the unprotected chick in the nest (just like they show in national geographic)

it was a simple situation where just a slight frequency adjustment would have solved the problem, amicably.
