to return to the topic data, i think you've said enough to let an approximate reconstruction of the world as you see it be possible. your explanation for this is altaf bhai had some sympathetic bearded people from jamia binoria (or some such place) set up shop in Sohrab Goth, and coordinated with PPP's sindh govt and an intelligence agency (ISI or MI or FIA) to arrange a raid, while asking the binoria people to put up enough resistance to kill two people.

On a separate note, the only party has something to loose from ANY sort of Talibalnization, in Karachi, is MQM. Since those nutter talibans are the only force there to respond to them with even greater violence and they are also capable of cutting arms supply to MQM from tribal areas. (we all know where those AK47s come from, MQM doesn’t buy it from Wah Ammunation factory)
So no surprise there, if MQM is on their toes and keeping a close eye on Taliban movements in Karachi.
It’s fair to say that IF there is any Talibanisation in some areas in Karachi, MQM would be 1st to know, and we MUST NOT dismiss it just because MQM exposing it.

MQM has allied itself with just about everyone in the past, for power, be it the PPP or PML[N] or the lota league. They didnt just sell out now, they dissed their general and are now back in bed with the PPP whom they hated so much in the past. What makes you think they wont unite with the Talibs, if there are any in Karachi? I gave you the example of just one madrassah, there are plenty more. Remember, MQM fought a war against the Pakistani Army in the 90s, and then joined the same army when it took power of the country.
