Stop the hate!

I am sorry, i just had share this with everyone. And this post is not for those who don’t have an open mind. I joined this forum because i loved how much information we can get for our weddings. But lately, iv’e seen girls bashing other girls about their weddings so much. Does anyone realize, that the same girls who are being ridiculed, are actually on this forum as well. Imagine how they feel when they read such harsh words? What has happened to us? We are ladies, we should act like ladies. Can’t we live without bad mouthing, name calling and saying atrocious things about each other. I guess then men are right when they say women always love to gossip about other women and that to in a bad way.

I wanted to share my sisters pictures with everyone but seeing how some of the girls act here and are so rude, I would never even bother sharing. This is should be a fun group where we all help each other with our salon and wedding experiences. Think with an open mind and please stop it.

Stop the hate!

Thanks for posting. I share your sentiments.

Re: Stop the hate!

Its not hate - its an opinion.
Grant it, sometimes people need to be a little more politically correct but everyone does have a right to share they're opinion.

You shouldnt take it seriously.

Who bad mouthed? or used harsh words?
Maybe I dont read enough of the wedding forum but I dont rememebr anyone being mean?

Re: Stop the hate!

I agree wth muniya, harsh words are gainst the policy of this forum, if you think someone is crossing the limit please use report button, I have always seen ppl mostly liking the stuff or sharing their good or bad experiences wth make up artists n designers just create awareness.but at the end of day everyone is entitled to their opinions, if you are ready to share your stuff on public forum then be ready for both positive n negative response.

Re: Stop the hate!

^ This. Part of being an adult is realizing that not everyone will approve of our choices. Being desis....we should know by the time we get married that there is always SOMEONE who will criticize something we did or said. Besides, this is not Facebook where all the users seeing your pics are your "friends" and are going to be nice/polite to matter what.

I agree that certain posters tend to be very harsh when sharing their opinions. If you ever feel that a person sharing their opinion is crossing the line of them bashing.....then please report it by using the "report" button.

Re: Stop the hate!

I'm very surprised.....I haven't seen any "harsh" words.....but then again I don't see every single thread. If you have then please report the post.

Perhaps you might want to give an example of someone being harsh so that we can understand what you mean......

Re: Stop the hate!

I think she is referring to the Amir and Faryal khan thread.

I have never seen anyone make nasty or rude comments on pictures a fellow forum user posts of themselves. Amir and Faryal are celebrities and I think naturally people are a bit more opinionated.

Re: Stop the hate!

I do think there are often mocking comments in response to the bridal pics. And unlike Faryal and her husband, many of the people are unaware that their pics are being shared and to what extent. I do think people need to think twice and watch their tone when commenting on another couple's choices. We can state an opinion without being hurtful.

Re: Stop the hate!

OP, have you seen the comments on her Instagram pics.. Now that is harsh..

Re: Stop the hate!

First of all, A lotttt of girls don't even give the permission to put their pictures here. They are usually taken through their profile pictures and that is why so many of them report it later saying they never gave the permission. That is wrong. Secondly, permission or no permission please go through the "bridal pics" forum and see how people react to pictures. Iv'e read the entire thread since the beginning and it is quite disappointing. But i know what i say, wont really matter to some.

And its called constructive criticism, sadly i haven't seen much of it. And no i wasn't just taking about Amir and faryal makhdoom. I am talking in general.

Thank you for all who agree. I strongly believe an opinion can be given in a much better way. People tend to get extremely harsh and words like, fat, ugly, gawdy, ott, eeww, yukh etc are not nice in anyway.

Re: Stop the hate!

Anyway, i'm off. This forum is not my cup of tea. Sorry that i feel so strongly about these things. Maybe i am just crazy wanting people to be little more positive.

Re: Stop the hate!

:hoonh:

Garam kyun haun dai ho?
Stick around - you’ll make some friends.

We don’t always agree with each other but thats what a discussion forum is about.

Whats with the tone? “First of all”
Chillo …

I’m sure the admins can clarify the whole profiles picture comment you made.
I think you just want us all to agree with you like bobble head dolls.

Re: Stop the hate!

it's very easy to say your piece and run.......

Re: Stop the hate!

I saw wadding foto of tham and fairyall shaadi look makes her seam very taiz look :o

Re: Stop the hate!

I saw wadding AND mahndi pictures of dem and they seem a bit chalaak to me. Also her nose-ring is only 99% 24k gold, not full 100% gold like they said it was.

Re: Stop the hate!

Funny much?

Nahh just too ok. Women are often used to called pehalwaanis. So all in good humour. no harshness around.

Aww muniya , i want to use your mind reading services too. Oh was that a comment on the outfit btw?. And no you aren’t any bobble head doll. Sure your honest opinion matter a lot.

Re: Stop the hate!

I very much doubt you'll find an online forum/blog/social network where EVERYBODY is nice, well spoken and conveys their opinions in a constructive way.
On the whole though, I think the "hate" elements to the commenting in the Wedding forum are balanced out by the helpfullness of the community, from offering advice, personal experiences, identifying dress designers, to discussing latest trends and more.

Re: Stop the hate!

People that are out of line are constantly being checked for it- if not by other posters, then by the mods who check in on the active threads several times a day, including myself. As others have said, if there is something you find particularly offensive, it is be a good idea to report the post or PM a mod.

Re: Stop the hate!

I somewhat agree with the poster...but here's a reality check. Most people on Internet are mean...they might be worse in real life actually but it's harder to harness your thoughts on an Internet forum.

If anyone is putting up pictures for public display, they're inviting criticism automatically. Be it a celeb or a non celeb...but I guess people will be more careful when commenting on a guppan or her sister's wedding pics.

Re: Stop the hate!

I’m honored that you read my comments so carefully and that they make such a permanent impression on yoy.
I don’t think I’ve said anything nasty to her. Thats on ofy fave pix. She’s a very pretty bride. Sorry. Next time ill try and give you something better to quote.
