I kind of agree with the OP - people can be overly mean (I am not ruling myself out here) and maybe we do need to take a reality check. And to those saying ‘if you think it’s mean - report it’ well no, it doesn’t really work like that. If you were to report something you’d expect it to be on the extreme end of mean; however comments such as the ones posted above - well they’re not exactly nice are they? But I wouldn’t go reporting them because they’re not ‘harsh enough’ per se.
I think what OP means is that the tone of the comments perhaps needs to be a more pleasant and light-hearted, rather than looking for flaws or ridiculing people. I don’t think everyone does it, but sometimes we can say things that might seem offensive to others, and I think it’s just a reality check to try and hold that back.
