Actually the men in my family are amazing with babies. Maybe its a family thing, we all love kids, esp my dad. He can spend hours with small babies yet the babies dont cry their heads off. And I dont think one can “pretend” to adore kids. I mean it comes naturally. When I see children, I will pick them up, hug them, kiss them. I dont do that whole baby talk, but I still adore them. And its impossible to stand aside and just smile, I have to grab them and kiss them until they get annoyed.

I haven’t seen it, usually men when confronted with a baby, stand stiffly, and look at you with a half sick, half scared look, afraid to move a muscle so the head doesn’t roll off, and attempt to pass it off to the nearest passing woman…
