Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

LOL - Majestic, he was teasing......

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

thank you Mehnaz Q. :)

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

i absolutly adore babies and young children...they are more on my level and i much prefer the company of children than adults. if you ask a child something they tell you straight, no lies and beating around the bush, children will always love/like you for who you are and i love that. i come from a really big family, always had kids around me so its all very natural to me

Iv always had a fascination with pregnant women too...for some reason the idea of carrying another human simply amazes me. The only reason id get married is to have children.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

^ thats cute. Children love me, and I love be around them, its just sometimes I don't know why I feel soo empty lol. How old are you anyway?

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

LI=Ashtray???

haha.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

empty? as in towards the children?

im in my twenties but i work with children, im a teacher so i have to love them, although thats not always true, iv met a fair few teachers who are just plain nasty.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

yeah sometimes empty towards them, I guess that will change.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

yeah some babies are cute but i dont like it when they come to close. i am not fond of most of my younger cousins they get so annoying and whenever i am mean to them someone yells at me, but i still am. most of my cousins helped take care of their younger cousins but if i had a younger sibling, i would stays away from them. i guess im kind of scared of them, what if a break them and they are always dirty.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

Dude thats when they are not MINE!! It bothers me when I go anywhere and I hear kids crying. Whenever I go over a friends house and her kids start to cry I leave asap!

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

You lot are mean. how can you not want kids? they are sooo cute :) I love it when my nieces and nephews come over to stay. Its alot of fun :) they range from 3-11 and its fun to play with all of them. and yeah, 1 day I'd love to have my own too insha-allah.

I know they can sometimes be annoying but their good points greatly outweigh the cons. Its nice when I go to sit down and suddenly I get surrounded by all these kids who then fight over who can sit next to me :)

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

Good god sometimes I can't stand kids. i was in this shop yesterday, trying on shoes, and these lil kids were running around, making a mess. they had a communal dressing room, and these ladies brougth their 8 year old son in there. I had to ask her to leave him outside. And do not get me started on Pakistan. tobah tobah ..i get scared just remembering my cousins.

I do miss holding a baby though :(

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

Impulse - Then give out your phone number hon, you may make a mint here maybe babysitting :)

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

We're not mean, we just dont' have that "awwwwwwwwwwww a babyyyyyyyyyy" and the urge to play with every ghair insan's baccha. Tho ill admit, when I see a baby on teh train and they're smilin or laughing and touching me, ill let them touch me. I think babies are cute and I do want to have kids one day....

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

I dont do “awwww” to every single baby I see. In fact I dont think Id do that…I’ll just tell the parents if I think the babys cute

but I wouldnt overdo it like most girls do. most of the times it seems fake :halo:

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

oh that' attitude is the worst. it's such crap.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

^what attitude?

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

Muniya congratulations :-)
S.S: its normal. one of cousin used to feel exactly the way u do. she didnt have her first baby till she was in her early 30s, when she thought she was ready for responsibilty after finishing her studies and established career. othe the other hand my other cousin just love kids.. she had 3 kids which 6 years of her marriage, yet she still travel all around the world with her husband and with 3 kids and she loves it. it really depends on the individual so i wudnt really generalize it as a 'desi concept'. my italian neighbour keeps talking about how her daughter is getting old and still doesnt have a husband and kids.
me, i love kids and can't wait to have my own but not for atleast 3 to 5 years. there are lot of things that i have to do before taking such responsibility.

Re: Stigma against lack of maternal feelings

haha my friends make fun of me for being the other way around

cuz i can’ get all men are all f***ers and then i see a baby and i melt

i want a kid more than i want the man :bummer:

hey

Babies

Eeeeuuuuurrrrggghhhh!!!!!

I agree with what the first few postee's said, before the baby lovers came along and ruined this thread.

I think this thread should be banned now, what with all these people making these outlandish claims.

Babies grow you know,

yep

they grow into abnoxious little children to be taught by teachers like Miss Mohobbat who will tell them they are wonderful and tell them they have rights and give them the number to childline.
the abnoxious kiddies will turn into straggly haired teenagers who will not listen to their Parents (thats right, I mean you)

they'll therefore make silly stupid and costly mistakes that YOU will have to pay for and clear up after them.

Dont do it.
