people it depends in which industry and most importantly in which organization you are starting your career. My first job was with City Government of New York starting pay 72k may 2008 - now long forward to today i miss all the benefits of being a government worker. apart from excellent health benefits, matching 401k, annual vacations, sick days, unscheduled holidays, federals holidays, 18 credits for university reimbursement & 10% annual pay raise … heck even Geico/ATT discounts were over 20%, count the savings.
