Stars who died young

If you look at the world of showbiz a lot of the stars who are considered legends now had lives that were cut short by tragedy. The likes of James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Madhubala, Heath Ledger etc are steeped in mystique more so for their tragically short lives coupled of course with their dazzling contribution to their respective art. I was wondering what are some of our local showbiz personalities who died young (i.e. before 50) and if trivia could be provided on the cause of death etc.

some of the names I can think of are Waheed Murad, Ahmad Rushdi, Saleem Nasir (mamoo from Ankahi), Nazia Hassan and film star Rani. Who are some of the others?

(2) Ismail Shah (in early 30's)

(3) Yasmeen Ismail (in her 40's)

(4)Muhammad Yousuf ( Choti si Duniya fame) - in his 40's

(5) Shafi Muhammad Shah (58 Yrs)

(6) Mansoor Baloch (Deevarain and Khwab Raaste fame) - died in his 40's

(7) Agha Sikandar ( Farrukh of Waris) - died in his 40's

(8) Tahira Naqvi (Seemi of Waris) - died in his 30's

(9) Film - Drama actress Rani (46 Yrs)

(10) Izhar Qazi (52 yrs)

Film actress Nadra - was shot dead in 1995.

I am not sure how many of you remember this TV actor, Sultan Khan (late 70's, early 80's) .. he died pretty young.

if I'm not wrong, i think actor "Nannaa" of Alif Noon also died young, and there was this other model / actor lahore who recently died "Bilal Khan"

Sultan Khan acted as director in famous PTV play Rozee. I think he was killed by terrorists during the time when Karachi was going through a tough time in the 90s.

Yes. Mehboob Alam also died early. He died may be in his 50's.

Actor Bilal Khan (playing small role in Hum TV Daastan) died at very young age.

Sheeren Azeem (PTV legend director of Uncle Urfi) died at young age.

Shahzad Khalil - Another legendary PTV director who directed classics like Tanhaiyaan, Teesra Kinara, Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Ehsas etc.

Following Pakistani singer died at an early age.

(1) Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (48 Yrs)

(2) Mala (50 Yrs)

(3) Akhlaq Ahmed (53 yrs)

(4) Ahmed Rushdie (48 Yrs)

(5) Mujeeb Alam (50 Yrs)

(6) Shahida Parveen (Deepak Raag hai Chahat apni fame) - died in her 40's

(7) Alam Lohar (43 yrs)

(8) Ustaad Amanat Ali Khan (Insha Ji Utho fame) - 53 yrs

(9) Asad Amanat Ali Khan (Ghar wapis jab aao ge fame) -51 yrs

(10) Naseem Baigum ( Ae Raah e Haq ke Shaheedo fame). She was just 35.

and Nazia Hassan (already mentioned above) was also died at the age of 35 yrs.

Its ironic that the most legendary singers from across the border like K.L. Saigol, Mukesh, Rafi and Kishore didn't live to celebrate their 60th birthdays and except for Saigol all died of heart failures. Makes you wonder if there's a connection....

he was in ek mohabbat sau afsane too (cindrella aur sakina with saba pervaiz).

just goodled he passed away in 1993 due to a heart attack
