The talented actress and director has been working for Pakistani TV / Film Industry for four decades. She has many memorable performances on her credit.
She is one of the senior actors, who are still getting some good roles. Her roles in Meri Zaat Zara e Be-Nishan, The Ghost, Shehr e Zaat, Ghao and Zindagi Gulzar hai were appreciated by today’s TV viewers. But she had many more memorable roles from PTV era, which we will discuss one by one in this thread.

The first remarkable performance by Samina peerzada was in Saleem Chisti’s ‘Sahil’ directed by Sahira Kazmi / Yawar Hayyat, where she played friend of Neeli (Saba Parvez).

One of most memorable and controversial role by Samina Peerzada is of ‘Bhaagi’ in Asghar Nadeem Syed’s serial ‘Darya’. A story of wandering girl of desert cholistan. The serial attracted some fatwas about the divorce of Samina and her husband Usman Peerzada due to scene where Usman playing husband of Bhagi (samina) divorces her.

PS: You can suggest names of the stars to discuss their work and pay them tribute.
On the basis of seniority uzma gillani,badar khalil comes first but, i think it doesn't matter if we are paying tribute we will eventually discuss them all.
In anchors i want you to discuss zia mohiuddin first.I have heard a lot about him.

Samina peerzada is a legendary actress and has graceful personality . I like her performances in malika-e-alam, zard dophar, karb, sahil & raat.

yes karb was amazing work. her first directorial work. The subject was quite bold for its time, but drama hooked viewers till last episode. Recently, one of my friend on youtube contacted that he is receiving requests from Amritsar India for this serial and asked me to arrange for dramas DVDs.
Samina did an amazing job as working woman who afterwards becomes psycho patient due to some problems in family life.

In Shahid Nadeem’s Zard Dopehar, her performance in the role of Zaitoon - a lady who lost her sense due to some incident was memorable and could make a mark in the presence of character like Malik Mehrban aka Nawaz Sharif (played by Shuja’at Hashmi).
Before Zard Dopehar, she also did a role of pregnant lady who become hostage in Hazrat Bal’s dargah in Shahid Nadeem’s Muhasira.

I think she had a successful modelling career too. She was one the faces who did modeling for Lux in its earlier days. She is also a wonderful host having programs like ‘Heart to Heart’ and ‘Sunday Lounge’ on her credit.

yes she was associated with lux also, i have seen some of sunday lounge shows especially one with azmi haq.
