Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

Jayawardene seems to relish English bowling. 374 last year and now this double hundred

some respite for battling England on day 3 - Match delayed by rain
England 61/6

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

Collingwood 23 not out, highest score from England batting line up. :)

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

England slump even further.....81 all out, their lowest score against Sri Lanka.

Jayawardene has enforced the follow-on, more misery awaits England over the next day or two. However with heavy rains forecast for the last two days, England might still escape with a draw here.

Looks like a huge innings defeat on the cards.

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

Rain rescues England on Day 4 - England 102/1 still trail by 316 runs

Cricinfo
A frustrating day for Sri Lanka and a healthy crowd who saw one session before the rain started and grew heavier as the day went on. By mid afternoon the covers were sodden and so wet was is it seems unfeasible that play would start on time tomorrow. England lost the one wicket, Michael Vaughan perishing to a horrible waft, but Alastair Cook reached his fifty and at the close England were 102 for 1. They have a good chance of saving the match, something they really don't deserve.

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

Sri lanka needs 5 more wickets to win the match.

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

They have taken the new ball :) letz c what magic Vaas and malinga can do !

Re: Sri Lanka v England 3rd Test @ Galle 18-22 Dec. 2007

Oops! I got it slightly wrong. South Africa have actually moved into second place in the ICC test rankings. Sri Lanka are ranked third. Had it not been for rain saving England in the final test, Sri Lanka would have taken the series 2-0 and moved above South Africa. England have crashed from second to 5th spot to leave all their players singing the following before leaving Sri Lankan shores.

baray bayaabroo ho kar tere koochay say hum niklay
bohat niklay mere armaan magar phir bhi kum niklay
