If I’m in dawat or someone else place I wouldnt try anything which is tricky,
Like once I was visiting a Hindu friend,they served Idli, I didn’t know how to eat it so didn’t take it

I use fork to eat mangoes, because I don’t like the juice dripping down my elbow.

I prefer eating roti with just my right hand, but if I’m sick or anything small pieces soaked in salan would go down easier.

I prefer eating rice with spoon, but if there’s no spoon(usually at a funeral here in Karachi) I just use my hands, just can’t give up free food.

Dealing with a tough ‘boti’ can get a bit tricky when you’re eating in public, that’s why I prefer eating at home, where I can unleash my fury on the food.
