If Tipu Sultan grew up within the borders of modern day Pakistan then he was very much the ancestor of Pakistanis. If he was something like a Balochi or Sindhi or some other Pakistani ethnic group, then he was also ancestrally related to modern day pakistanis, though with this latter classification it gets a bit fuzzed. However the ancestors of modern day Pakistanis are without a shadow of a doubt the Vedic Aryans, as well as the Indus Valley Civilization, neither of which can India claim to be its own, as it does. Even the word India itself is a pilfered word.
