Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
You know exactly the name of all the players who blocked Mujib from becoming the Prime Minister and what else could’ve avoided the war.
I would once again admit that Punjabis as a local population is not racist, if there were, the province would not have enjoyed such ethnic harmony despite absorbing all types of groups from all over Pakistan. PMLN blocked the influx of IDP who weren’t even refugees for goodness sake. But that doesn’t mean Pashuns and Afghans hadn’t been living there for centuries or generations. On the other hand, look what what ANP, MQM and PPP killed innocent people on lingual and ethnic differences in Karachi! PMLN’s move was totally illegal and I had expressed my utter disgust obver it and I know exactly the type of Punjabi chauvinists here who defended and rationalised that racist move. It’s an absolutely sick party, and if anything, it would be the Punjabis who had tried their utmost best to get rid that rotten oligarchic group just some five months and it was also the Punjabis who took over the streets in celebration when an Urdu speaking dictator threw that party out.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
i would like to believe thats true… I agree that Punjabi identity is a complex thing.
But Punjabi’s do tend to play favorites. even among themselves, Punjabis favor certain casts, tribal groups over others. When in a crowd, Punjabis will generally prefer those who speak punjabi, whether inside or outside Pakistan. The Pakistan cricket team has apparently been famous for its Punjabi/Karachi factions.
Punjabis as a whole I think are very tolerant, but its by circumstance… the invaders thing may be accurate. But the thing with invaders, they don’t give you the choice of not tolerating them.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Actually we have no think tanks ’
After lot of reading and discussions I am very sure that making new provinces on demand will destroy our already broken system .
If we get Shareefs , Bilawal & IK three only agree on giving more rights to regions in all four provinces , it can help a lot .
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I am not only Punjabi but whole my family , both sides mother & father all were Fauji , All from my grand father to my both elder brothers and husband of my only sister , Mamoon Chachay saray kay saray So I knew our thinking .
We are just fools and don’t respect others . If we leave corruption and respect only Baluchs , We can become a rich nation in just less than a decade . Magar ham apnay fauji par bhrosa kartay hain jis kay seenay main dil to hota hay magar ooper …
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I actually hate the ethnic bickering that certain posters brought in this thread. I might have been partial to it a decade ago, but I am over that point.
I do have disdain for how pakistanis behave and lose hope each day when even PTI is not up to standards. I would end by saying that if you want people to love Pakistan, then you have to give them a stake like “owning a piece” of Pakistan. You would have less problems today in balochistan if you had developed gawadar and given jobs to balochis (not everything as you can’t give them an engineer job in PIA if not qualified) where you can. Ironically, it was the hated dictator who made gawadar port and we haven’t even connected gawadar to the railway infrastructure. The govt rather name and rename Green Lines.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Thanks for compliment.
But who will listen. Ppl who r in their 20 s missing those ugly episodes of history n not knowing the seeds of hatred sown in the past. The tree of hatred now grown up. Now unless we remove the roots. Only removing stems not gonna work.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
A rotten to the core, blood sucking Punjabi oligarchy is a bitter reality and nothing less than a curse and you know exactly the type of people that defend that evil group here, and for what reasons. How pathetic of PPP to be in bed with PMLN, be their evil partners and in Sindh, they have the nerve to spew venom against the whole population which elected the good for nothing Sindhi feudals thrice . You simply cannot blame entire ethnicity for the evil deeds of this untouchable oligrachy, especially when the local Punjabis themselves are the victims of same inequalities and theft of resources and would love to see the fall of these Pharaohs. And God knows that they had courageously tried, and this is my point. I sincerely wish that other ethnic groups also follow the Punjabis’ infinite and daring ability to keep a certain political struggle alive at all times, regardless of the challenges.
Today I was listening to Parvez Khattak’s interview and he said how the centre on paper promises an x amount of budget for the province but in reality they only release a certain chunk of it! Now this is a perfect valid point. If corruption wasn’t so rampant in Punjab and if this tiny political elite wasn’t building palaces, industries and doing billion rupees investment in properties in Dubai (this also applies to PPP!!), maybe the other provinces or the respective locals might get their due share. I mean where is the audit of this disgustingly expensive Metro bus project. Oh yes, all the records were were destroyed in some random LDA building fire. How convenient.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
We think alike bro, i want pakistan to an equal society, your PPP supporter right? if your views are like PPP then ill see if I can support them, but the corruption and reputation isnt to great
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
You listened Pervez khattak because he is from PTI and he is right but all Pakhton Sindhi Balochi Sariki and others are saying same since they are in Pakistan .
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I can not defend PPP very much here but all is same here They are named more actually they are but all others including institutions are more corrupt . I am honestly telling Bhutto was not corrupt at all , BB was good but her surrounding was not so good . Bilawal promised to remain clean and I believe as a hope for good . It is good to have a hope .
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I listened to Parvez Khattak because he made his point on matter of fact and professional basis without idiotically slagging the entire race to stir the crowd! Hence his point would reach out to all the youth of Punjab and raise genuine awareness without inciting them. But PTI being a non ethnic party certainly gets away with saying a lot of things which is good.
…And you know what Parvez Khattak said despite acknowledging the theft of his province’s right - 'khazana humara phir bhi khaali nahi he, khazana kabhi khaali nahi hota..khazana khali kiya jata he’. Meaning all the parties who conveniently lie and blame on the ‘lack of funds’ from centre to cry about empty treasury also chat BS.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
On a serious note, I being a Sindhi living in MQM strongest hold (yes 90) never faced discrimination to the extent of roti buying, bill paying queues. Those who know the area and have an idea of rush at Mehfooz Sheer Maal can verify this. Even as someone mentioned, most of the tandoor walas are either Pathan or Multani in the area and there is no such discrimination. My landlord is an Urdu speaking person and he never discriminated for my being Sindhi. All of our neighbors are Urdu speaking and they never utter any ethnic remark against us. Strangely enough, my sister told me recently that a lady in the apartments told her friend ‘iss Sindhan ke sath nahin mila karo’. I was shocked as we don’t mix up with people unnecessarily. apne kaam se kaam rakhna is our logo. When I told my friend about this ‘he told me that that lady is Punjaban’. Now does this give me right to call Punjabis racist? Not at all. There are so many good friends we got from Punjab. Even on this forum, I got some people from Punjab and we exchange gifts on occasions like Eid, birthdays , etc.
This is all BullSh!t and we can’t generlise it to communities.
PS: I did felt being discriminated for being Sindhi at CNIC office, but it is more of government staff’s kaam chori than racism from a particular community.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Punjab have every food.
And then sindh minus karachi, Baluchistan minus queta. You know zia knew you are racists so he divided you. Actually you guys need chitrol of establishment to stay togather
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Lolz, look who ia saying this. In every other thread you and pasha express hate. You once said that Pakistani without Karachi will satrve as if whole Pakistan is relying on karachi port. Typical urdu speaking.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I must reinstate the simple fact as I fear it’s lost again: despite Punjab being such heterogeneous and resourceful province - no power could dare divide Pubjab on ethnic and lingual basis and turn communities against one another. The rate of urbanisation, integration and social and geographical mobility of the locals in Punjab is testament to this fact.
In other provinces, victim complex and xenophobia over language is such a huge issue, and in Punjab, despite no formal effort from Punjabis to impose their mother tongue on the non natives, you’d find Balochis, Pashtuns, Sndhis, Muhajirs settlers happily picking up the language and proudly speaking it fluently and actually enjoying the unique experience. I know a second generation Lahore based Baloch uncle who primarily talks in Punjabi. I’m pretty sure @ajazali know many such examples.
