Spiderman 3 - spoiler alert !!

Re: Spiderman 3!

Totally Blahhhhh :nook:
Went to see it on Sunday evening
HATED IT  - and had to go through the agony of sitting for well over 2 hours with my young ones - who seemed to enjoy every single minute :smack:
Looks like the story writer ran out of ideas and found it really difficult to wrap it up. Yeah I agree the only decent shots were of the Sandman :k:

Re: Spiderman 3!

As predicted, there might be more spiderman movies to come.

“There will be many more Spider-Man films to come,” Marvel Studios’ Producer Kevin Feige told MTV. “We already have stacks of ideas for the next one because of the wealth of stories in the comics. We could be making Spider-Man movies for the next 20 years, based on the 50 years of Spider-Man history we have.”

In July, Tobey Maguire gave comic book fanboys a conniption when he told USA Today that he didn’t believe a Spider-Man 4 was in the cards.
“We’ve done an amazing job at keeping things fresh,” Maguire told USA Today. “But, it’s hard to imagine continuously coming up with stories that deserve to be told. I’m not sure if there are more stories for this character that are interesting enough to be excited about doing more.”

Feige can’t guarantee that Maguire would return for a fourth film.
“When you’re concentrating on one movie at a time, there’s a beginning and a middle and an end to that process,” Feige reasoned. “We’ve been topping each one as they go, [and if that happens again], that’s the time for those discussions.”

It’s good to hear from a Marvel representative that the company is commited to making more Spider-Man movies (as long as there is a market for them) with or without Maguire.

Re: Spiderman 3!

Considering they made $350+ million in just the first weekend, they will be stupid to give up on the franchise. I hope Tobby got a piece of the action too. Not sure how long audiences will keep supporting it, though. Given a choice between super hero movies, I'd prefer to watch a Batman movie over any other ___-man. Batman Begins was phenomenal on many levels. Best of all, Batman doesn't have any super-hero qualities but has his appeal through gizmos and strength.

Re: Spiderman 3!

it was ok. just like the first 2 movies. there were way too many storylines playing at the same time, therefore not enough camera time given to venom :disgust: wait for DVD.

oh did i mention, the sound effects were cheesy :smack: and did black peter REALLY need to go emo? i mean the hairstyle and almost the black eyeliner, i mean, they threw in the black suit too :smack:

ok yes…it did get cheesy. really cheesy

Re: Spiderman 3!

finally a good post

Re: Spiderman 3!

^Anyone notice, the announcer guy at the wrestling match in the first and the French guy at the restaurant in this one are the same guy...hmmm...interesting.....lol.

Anyways action scenes r pretty good, movie did drag on quite a bit...but harry and eddie dying was a bummer, would have been awesome to see them in Spiderman 4.

Re: Spiderman 3!

^^ yup he was also in spider man 2 as the usher in the theatre

Re: Spiderman 3!

Yea...but I would've ended this movie with one last battle between Green Goblin (Harry) and The Sandman. Peter is on the verge of killing Harry when he realizes what Connors told him about the suit taking over. He leaves Harry for the cops and heads to the church where Eddie Brock is there to commit suicide. I loved the shot of Brock looking up and going "Parker". Woulda kept that. Anyways, so Peter is trying to get the suit off when the bell starts ringing and the symbiote falls off Peter onto Brock. We go forward and Peter is apologizing to Mary Jane and she's apologizing to him. Peter hands her the ring and asks Mary Jane to marry him. They walk down a street in NYC hand-in-hand but flash to one of the skyscrapers, Brock as Venom is looking down on the happy couple saying, "We know Parker. We know everything. We will find you."

Re: Spiderman 3!

yaar i thought the Harry (Green Goblin) was the highlite of the film!!! too bad he is dead!!!! :-(

Re: Spiderman 3 - spoiler alert !!

Saw the movie yesterday.

It was good, but they could have cut out some of the emotional stuff and added more action. And as some have said, it was a little lenghty.

Black spidy was sooo cool though.

Re: Spiderman 3!

Yea, I did. Didn't really make a difference to me compared to watching in a regular cinema, although the screen looked slightly bigger and the sound effects were GARGANTUAN (I guess that's the main difference). And the IMAX screen isn't really all *that *curvy.

The movie itself was okay, not as good as the first two in terms of story, but the action kicked ass big-time. First of all there was too much going on: the Harry^MJ^Peter love triangle, the three villains, and Peter's "battle within". Sam Raimi should've dropped at least one villain, and ideally the movie could've gone with only one villain. The effects for Sandman were awesome, although I've seen them in Mummy. Although Venom was supposed to take the cake, he doesn't fully appear onscreen until like the last 30 minutes; nonetheless, the symbiote and Venom's renditions were superb. There was also some good humor, mostly from J. Jonah Jameson and Bruce Campbell, and quite a bit of cheese as well.

In terms of acting, I wouldn't quite blame Tobey for his performance, Kirsten Dunst needs to polish up her skills, James Franco was okay, and I wouldn't blame Thomas Haden Church for his performance either. But it was Topher Grace who actually brought his character to life, despite having to stick with some cheese and plot-holes. Due to the crammed story, anyone who isn't a fan or doesn't have insight on the characters would probably be confused, something unlike the first two movies. To intensify things, the producers decided to add subplots - such as Sandman being the actual killer of Uncle Ben - which were handled quite carelessly to be honest. The unnecessary - and often childish - emotion could've been avoided, as well as the inapt disposal of villains. However, if you are looking forward to the mind-boggling 258-million-dollar CGI, then go for it.

Re: Spiderman 3 - spoiler alert !!

The movie sucked big time. As usual Hollywood - effects :k: but overall my rating for the movie would be 4 outta 10 (10 being the highest)

The writer was such a crap! man!!! i really dont understand y cant these ppl take the ditto story from the comic… same they did with ghost rider!!! i loved that character :frowning: they screwed him so badly!!!

i hate these marvel ppl!!!

hmmmm, spider man 3 is an average hollywood comic strip, i wish they prolonged the role of black spidey!!! kinda liked it

venom was way tooooooooo cooooooooool!!! but the guy who did the character was so lame n had such an disgusting voice!!! in my point of view it shouldnt be the reporter!!! it must have only been those black, dark liquid type thigys have its own life and forming a venom… not hopping on some ones body, u know wat i mean…

Even sandman’s plot was not so good!!! an theif??? is that wat hollywood can come up wid!!!

These characters are made from natural resources not ppl being used as modems!!!

:naraz:

Re: Spiderman 3 - spoiler alert !!

S-U-C-K-E-D!

The movie did NOT follow the comic. the ending was all happy for Spidey (which is NOT how its supposed to be) the real story was how no one ever appreciates spidey for his efforts (nobody goes and holds rally's for him like in the movie :/!) mary jane was supposed to die....
too many cry scenes.....sandbag or whatever was so cheesy. and toby maguire looked like a dork when he was taken over by venom with the hair in front of his face.
i saw it at the IMAX and even the good sound effects didnt help. the only thing the movie had going for it was the Harry....he is hot.

Re: Spiderman 3 - spoiler alert !!

^
Actually, Gwen was supposed to die at the hands of Green Goblin the first...Spidey goes on to marry MJ. Harry was meant to die too.

Wha? I collected as a kid. Those issues cost a mint, even back in the day...couldn't afford them...but they reprinted them. Must have that lying around somewhere...
