I only liked the fight scenes... I don't get it why did EVERY single character in that movie cry? Did you notice? Spidey, harry, two girls, sandman, venom dude... wth? Toooo many lovey duvey emotions in that movie, plus they didn't show venom enough.. The sandman was the best character in that movie IMO. Couldn't they take a better actor for venom character? seriously if this is going to continue for the next spidey movies.... BLAH
Venom’s girlfriend wants revenge on Spider-Man for Spidey killing Venom.
She becomes Black Cat, a character who is an expert Cat Burguler so she can bring spidey in the open, seduce him and then kill him.
Meanwhile, after Harry dying, he left the company and money to Peter.
Peter now runs the company and is devoting all resources to find a cure for his Aunt May who is dying and is neglecting his Spider-Man duties which causes crime to soar in the city. Mary Jane is also busy planning her marriage to Peter.
Meanwhile a Russian by the name of Chameleon knows Spider-Man’s identity. Harry hired him to kill Spider-Man but failed him to tell him to stop before dying.
Chameleon owes a blood debt to the Osbornes and is determined to kill Spider-Man no matter what. He first uses another Russian to kill Spider-Man in the lab but he fails and a freak accicdent in the Lab causes polymer to bond with his skin creating, Rhino.
Rhino is being tricked into killing Spider-Man for Chameleon all the while Chameleon pretends to be Spider-Man and spreads mis-information about Spider-Man tarnishing his reputation. Tensions between Mary Jane and Peter arises as Chameleon pretending to be Spider-Man seduces Black Cat and gets front page headlines angering Mary Jane.
So can Spidey save his crumbling marriage plans to Mary Jane, defeat Chameleon’s mind tricks and his henchman Rhino and vanquish the anger and guilt of Black Cat for killing her boyfriend, Eddie Brock?
I think he did leave peter the company. However, the blonde girl didnt like venom to begin with so why would she want revenge?
that blonde girl is Gwen Stacy and is a different character from Eddie Brock's girlfriend who in the comics takes revenge on Spider Man for killing her boyfriend.
Over all the movie ain't bad, but they definitely dragged it on and on. Three good fight scenes, but too much melodrama put in the mix. If I wanted to see an emotional masterpiece full with tears and stuff, I'd watch a Sean Penn movie and not Spiderman. CG was pretty neat. Green goblin is getting old. Sandman CG was phenomenal. The whole plot surrounding Venom was very weak. Apparently that out of space creature was only supposed to "amplify" your qualities, then how come Venom can suddenly start flying. Then again, super hero movies don't follow logic and one should not waste time trying to make sense of them.
Movie's length of 2 hours and 20 mins was definitely too long. Here I was hoping that following Hollywood trends, Indian flicks will get down to 1.5 hours, but what we are seeing is the reverse, that now Hollywood is using chewing gum to stretch their movies past 2 hours.
Some good previews, though. I am looking forward to third editions of Bourne, Pirates, Ocean and Shrek and will likely be taking my kids to fifth Harry Potty. 'Tis is definitely the summer of sequels.
Since you said it, Bourne looks repetitive but still watchable. I can't miss Johnny Depp so Pirates will be a definite in. Ocean's 12 was horrible, but how can you not watch anything which has Clooney, Pitt, Garcia AND Al Pacino? Shrek generally is funny with great animation.
Loved it! I really loved it!
Could tobey be any more annoying as the evil spidey? LOL!
The best scenes of the movie were of sandman’s though :k: The scene where he goes to see his daughter and the one where he realises what he has become is just amazing!!
Kirsten Dunst looked good.
I liked that Harry turned out to be a hero at the end.
